He clearly didn’t believe what Hudson was saying.
Even though Hudson was on his phone, he stood up, bowed politely, and said. “Why would I lie to you? You’re practically family, my future in–law.”
He was grinning so widely it almost hurt.
All that groveling was just for that piece of land.
Dominic’s voice came through on the other end, dripping with disdain. “Busy? Isabella was just at a bar the other day, dancing provocatively. Don’t take me for a fool, Hudson!”
If it hadn’t been for a friend who spotted her, Dominic would’ve thought Hudson was handling things seriously,
Hudson froze. “What? Isabella was at a bar, dancing?
His heart raced with panic, and he quickly explained, “Mr. Lane, there must be some mistake. Bella is well–behaved and responsible. She’d never do something like that.”

But rather than calming him, her words only stoked Hudson’s anger further.
Hudson hit the table again, causing Ivana 10 flinch.

She had clearly overheard Dominic’s comment on the phone..

His mood was so off that he ended up being completely fed up with Molly too, calling himself a useless person with no solution in sight..
Still, his frustration boiled over, and he spat, “If we don’t get that land, don’t expect any more allowance.”
Molly thought, Usually, Hudson treated me and Ivana well, at least providing us with substantial living expenses.
