Chapter 6
Office building, top floor.
Isabella walked up to the office and lightly knocked at the door.
“Come in
A clean voice came from inside, and Isabella pushed the door ореп
A man in a light blue suit was sitting at his desk, typing away on the keyboard with a serious face.
George was twenty–seven this year, three years older than Isabella.
But when they were out, people often thought they were siblings–not because Isabella looked old, but because the man had a baby face, soft and fair.
Isabella smirked slightly, “Can’t believe you still look like a teenager after three years”
The sudden voice caught George off guard, and he looked up in surprise.
Isabella had dressed up today.
She wore a light purple strapless bodycon dress, her long hair cascading in loose waves down her back, holding a white handbag and wearing white eight–centimeter stilettos.
Her figure was stunning, curvy in all the right places, drawing the attention of countless passersby. Her already delicate face. was accentuated by simple makeup, making it hard for men to look away from
George immediately stood up, excitement lighting up his face. “Queenie! You are here!”
Queenie.
If people heard this name, they’d surely be shocked.
Queenie, a top–notch doctor, had created countless miracles! She was truly a living legend!
But she had suddenly vanished two years ago.
George was her agent, handling all her medical affairs. They had known each other for years and were partners for life.
He walked toward Isabella, and with that baby face and excited expression, it was a bit overwhelming for her.
She tugged at her lips, “You were the one who said it was urgent and I had to come over. But now that I’m here, you’re making
that face!”
“Isn’t that because I called you a hundred times, and you finally showed up once!” George jokingly scolded, unable to resist rubbing his eyes again.
“I haven’t seen you in two years! You finally made an appearance!” George was so frustrated be placed a heavy hand Isabella’s shoulder, worried she might run off at any moment.
on
Isabella’s gaze turned a bit complex. “Sorry, I was love–struck before, but now I’m clear–headed. I’ll show up whenever you need me from now on.”
Isabella headed toward the sofa, while George quickly grabbed two bottles of juice from the fridge, placing one in front of her.
George sat opposite her, looking at her in disbelief. “Clear–headed? So, you’ve given up on Jayden?”
“If it’s not mine, what do I have to fight for?” Isabella shrugged nonchalantly, opened the juice, and took a sip.
Thinking back, the one–sided efforts of the past ten years were actually quite tiring.
Jayden’s success today was partly thanks to Isabella.
No one in the industry had a better eye for scripts than her.
Every time Jayden had a project, he’d have Isabella evaluate the script. Every film he made was a hit.

But Jayden had never acknowledged her contributions. Despite countless fans criticizing Isabella, he had never stood up for her once.
George happily slapped the table, nodding in agreement. “You finally woke up! Ive been eyeing that jerk for a long time.”
Isabella paused for a moment, looking at him in surprise. “Why?”
Jayden was decent–looking and came from a good family, and George had never mentioned he didn’t like him before.
George rubbed his chin thoughtfully, then scoffed, “He’s no good; he looks like a scumbag.”
Isabella couldn’t help but laugh; she knew he was just being silly.
He often acted carefree, and anyone who interacted with him thought he was just a spoiled rich kid.
She didn’t want to dwell on that and casually said, “So, what’s the urgent matter you called me for today?”
George was immediately diverted, sitting up straight, his handsome face taking on a more serious demeanor.
Isabella raised an eyebrow, feeling a bit reassured. No matter how he usually acted, he was all business when it came to serious
matters.
“Do you know about the youngest son of the Cox family?”
Isabella’s eyes slightly narrowed, and after a moment’s thought, she asked, “The Cox family, just under the Howerton family?”
George nodded eagerly. “Exactly! It’s him. Xavier Cox”
Isabella’s interest was piqued.
The Cox family was not in direct opposition to the Howerton family; in fact, they were in a cooperative relationship. Helping the Cox family could yield a favor in return–a deal that wouldn’t go to waste.
“Go on, tell me more.
George’s expression grew a bit strange as he cleared his throat and stood up, pacing back and forth in front of the sofa. “You might not believe this, but this young man has come down with a strange illness. When it flares up, he craves fresh blood and has an explosive temper.”
Isabella was momentarily taken aback.
Fresh blood.
“It’s been going on for a long time, and they still can’t find the real cause. Now it’s gotten so serious he needs to be hospitalized.
control his emotions. Do you think you can handle it?”
George stopped in front of Isabella, looking at her with anticipation.
Isabella sat upright on the sofa, lightly tapping her fingers on her crossed knees.
Her silence made George sigh in frustration. “The thing is, with your reputation, no one would contact you for small issues. Once they reach out to me, they’re usually big cases that others can’t handle. The Cox family has contacted me at least dozens of times just to ask you to step in, and you can set your own price!”
Isabella lightly drummed her fingers on her knee. “Let’s go to the hospital first and see
George’s face lit up with joy, as long as she was willing to take action, everything else would be easier to deal with.
He believed in Queenie’s ability.
He quickly walked back to the desk. “I’ll arrange it right away.”
He was bustling around, afraid Isabella might change her mind.
This made fabella’s lips curve up. She chuckled as she shaked her head.
He really can’t be serious for more than three seconds

Chapter 6
Meanwhile, a black Maybach was waiting at the intersection for the traffic lights.
Jayden sat in the driver’s seat, one hand resting on the steering wheel.
Ivana sat in the passenger seat, leaning over to admire Jayden’s handsome profile, her eyes filled with uncontrollable infruation.
She had liked Jayden for many years, but unfortunately, he had been her sister’s boyfriend until she finally managed to take advantage of his drunken state…
Ivana lowered her gaze slightly. No matter what means she had used, as long as he still thought she was pure and harmless, that was enough.
Today, Jayden was supposed to be out handling serious business. She begged him a few times and he finally chose to go with her together. She really felt like she was winning his heart and Isabella was out of the picture now.
She suppressed her smugness and looked at Jayden with admiration. “Jayden, how much longer do you think it’ll take to get
there?”
“Probably another hour. Getting tired?” Jayden turned his head to look at her fondly,
