Hearing this, Freya spun around, hardly believing her ears. It seemed unthinkable that Kieran would return at this moment
As Freya turned, she accidentally bumped into Kieran’s embrace.
The badge on Kieran’s chest shoved against Freya’s nose and it hurt. She stepped back and said, “Mr. Sutton, you said yes to my requests?”
Kieran wasn’t known for being easily ded
Kieran replied coldly, “What’s the problem? You seem less thrilled now that I’ve agreed.”
“Of course, I’m happy you’ve agreed.” Quick as a flash, as if fearing Kieran might change his mind, she turned to Jarrett, “Jarrett, Mr. Satton has agreed. Could you please take care of the arrangements?”
Certainly, Ms. Dawson.” Jarrett immediately went to prepare Freya’s room.
Freya turned to Kieran and said, “Mr. Sutton, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head up to rest.”
“Wait.” Kieran suddenly caught Freya’s arm.
Freya frowned, glancing at the hand on her arm, briefly fantasizing about chopping it off. “Mr. Sutton, is there something else?
“Where are the flowers that I gave you?”
When Kieran suddenly mentioned the roses, Freya responded, “Well, Mr. Sutton, I felt those flowers didn’t suit me, so I left them at the Dawson family.”
Kieran asked, “Left at the Dawson family, or threw them away?”
Freya politely assured, “Of course, I left them at the Dawson family.“.
The flowers were in the Dawson family’s trash bin, but technically still at the Dawson family.
Happy with the solid answer from Freya, Kieran dropped the subject. Little did he know, Freya had chucked the roses into the Dawson family’s compost bin when she left.
Freya added, “If there’s nothing else, Mr. Sutton, I’ll go up to rest.”
“Wait!”
Seeing Kieran had more to say, Freya rolled her eyes. ‘What now?’
Turning back, she said, “Mr. Sutton, if you have anything else, please say it all now. I’m exhausted.”
Kieran asked again, “Why choose the room furthest away?”
Freya had previously stayed in a guest room near Kieran’s at the Sutton Mansion, close to him. Given Freya’s feelings for him, you’d think she’d be thrilled about the room’s location.
Of course, Kieran didn’t know Freya wanted to keep her distance, preferring to walk further to the room at the end.
Freya smiled. “Because that room is a bit larger, and I prefer spacious rooms.”
It was a flimsy excuse at best.
Kieran frowned. “You could always stay in mine if you think the room is too small.” Kieran thought his offer would thrill Freya to no end.
