Watching the closed door of the Sutton Mansion, Kieran abruptly set down his fork.
Momentarily shocked, Nancy asked, “Mr. Sutton, aren’t you eating?”
Kieran had barely touched his food. Rising from his seat, he said icily, “I’ve lost my appetite.”
With that, Kieran headed straight upstairs.
Jarrett shook his head at Nancy. Kieran only ever lost his cool over matters concerning Freya.
Kieran had chosen a quiet apartment around Summit University. The U–Haul driver helped Freya move her belongings up before leaving.
It was a modest two–bedroom apartment, not even reaching a thousand square feet, but it was enough for her alone.

But Freya glanced at the calendar on her phone. In ten days, she had exams.
In her previous life, she was excellent in high school, which allowed her to enter Summit University upon graduation. Later, she devoted all her attention to Kieran, neglecting her university courses.

“As you can see, I’ve started loving books now.” Freya bent her head, flipping through the study materials that might appear in the exam. University knowledge was like a vast ocean. Aiming for a passing grade was a tall order for her.
Luna said, “Just do your best alone! Why drag me into this? Don’t be so competitive.”
Luna was a slacker, attending Summit University purely for a diploma.
Freya knew she couldn’t rely on Luna for knowledge, so she rested her chin on her hands and said, “I have no choice. I’ve fallen too far behind in my courses. If I can’t graduate, these years will have been for nothing.”
