“Please just select any dress you desire. It’s the 20th dress and I am getting tired Julia, Anna” I was seriously about to resign from this marriage and the hefty post of Laina of the BloodClaw pack.
They made this festival a 10–day occasion instead of five days. Just pick five beautiful dresses and be done with them but they have been preparing for it since morning and it’s noon now
First I had to oversee the preparations for the ball which will be held every night for the five days in our mansion. Yes, this time, the venue is our mansion and not the grand Victorian mansion we went to last time.
Secondly, I had to decide on the menus for the pack meals for five days which will be held in that Victorian mansion. It has a name but not an easy one to remember. So, I will just call it a white mansion for now.
Ah, my muscles are sore from moving around all day.
I even helped Adolf prepare a budget for pack festivities which was suddenly handed over to me while Damian handled the other things

have been really busy these past few nights due to the festival and I barely caught five hours of sleep every night, alone because Damian never came to our room until I was asleep and he was gone when I was awake.
I wonder whether he is busier than me. I don’t know how I still have the time to be upset and worry about him when I don’t even have a second to breathe amidst all the preparations.
And now, for the past two days, everyone in the mansion, espetilly Julia and Anna has been fussing over me which marked the beginning of my preparation. Yesterday, I was given full body care which was honestly relaxing and enjoyable.
First, I had a relaxing bath with essential and herbal oils, then a cassage and then extensive skin and body care. I felt as if I was in heaven. However, today right from the crack of dawn, I have been trying different dresses, goddess knows when they ordered.
A few days ago, they had measured my sizes and sent it to a bourque and I didn’t think much of it at that time but now it is coming to bite me. It’s so exhausting that yesterday’s relaxation day feels like they fattened me up for a slaughterhouse.
I want to go back to yesterday!
“Luna, please, this one is the last Julia pleaded showing me a dress with a petal layered skirt.
“Then, please try this one tool” Anna pleaded as well, showing me a dress with a big bow at the chest.
I sighed.
I could see Mary and Betty in both of them for a second. They worried for me just like them. I got melancholic and I suddenly felt like losing my strength to fight the battle life had put me in.
“Luna, is everything alright? If you are too tired, then you can try them later” Julia’s cautious voice dragged me out of the abyss.
“No! Right now seems to be perfect. Do I have to try the dresses you are holding?” I took the dresses both of them were holding and quickly went behind the wooden partitions to change.

I can’t believe that there will be a moment when I would willingly choose to try on dresses, just like now.

I seem to be doing that a lot. What do I do? What do I do? I feel like crying. I didn’t like large events back then too, when I was a princess of the CrystalMoon pack.
Rather than attending fancy balls and formal events, I preferred going on small dates with Austin, sneaking with him during the ball or spending time with my maids after disappearing in the middle.
Most of the time, I would try doing so. However, at times when couldn’t risk my dignity, I used to stay in the events for the whole time and had everything under my control.
During all those times, Mary and Betty cared and worried for me all the time. From my dresses to my hair. everything. Why did that happen to me? Why didn’t Austin love me?
I felt my throat choke and my lips tremble as I felt weak. I was suddenly feeling weary.
Lily! Why are you
getting saddened? My poor Lily, you have started anew. Don’t be upset over the past.
‘Syl. I‘ My voice choked and I couldn’t reply to Sylvia when I heard her voice in my head.
“Lily, we have left them for good. The past will only make us stronger and braver than before. We will cherish our people this time. Isn’t it fate that the goddess has sent good people over to our side? We have been given a chance again!‘
I felt her words hit me like a boulder.
Don’t forget our mate too, Lily. Please for our sake, give yourself a chance and try forgetting the painful past and cherish the good memories while you continue making new ones.

I was wearing a simple summer dress today. It was true that thanks to Sylvia, I was feeling a lot better and I was finally able to put my head to the game.
I dropped my dress in the basket beside me and started slipping inside the new dress, I chose Julia’s first. Both of them had put this partition here for me to avoid going inside the bathroom again and again.
They even brought the basket for me here because I didn’t like the idea of hanging my clothes on the partition while dressing up. I got inside the dress which had a layered petal design for the skirt.
Its bodice was a comfortable fit and it looked like a replica of Starry Night when I saw it.
I quickly stepped out from behind the wooden partition, slightly excited to show the girls because the dress was beautiful and I wondered how it was looking on me.
However, the moment I stepped out, I stilled in shock to see a third person standing inside the room.
“Hello sister–in–law” Adrian greeted me while his purple eyes raked on my body as if I was naked.
My body shrunk slightly because of his creepy stare and I felt insects crawling everywhere his gaze lingered.

“My day got better after I got to see the beautiful you. You look beguiling in this dress, are you going to wear it on the night of the ball?”
1 glared at him, feeling disgusted by his bravado. I wondered how long he had been standing there. Both Julia and Anna’s faces were pale and he had a disgusting look on his face.
“I would suggest doing the opposite because that way everyone’s eyes will be on you.” He leered at me with his cheeks slightly reddening before he composed himself but his gaze was still lingering on my body.
“I am saying this because it would be difficult for my dear brother. He said, laughing, alone.
“I do not require your advice on my dresses Adrian. Secondly, why are you here? I don’t remember inviting you to my home” I spat out coldly and he grinned.
I apologize if I have upset you in some way, sister–in–law. However, I am here to check the preparations. Mother has sent me to see whether you need any help.” He said and I clenched my skirt feeling angry.
“I didn’t know the ball was going to be held in my room. If you were here to check the preparations, then you should have sought Adolf rather than walking into my room without my permission I seethed,
“Ah. I am sorry, sister–in–law. I didn’t know you would be offended. I didn’t meet Adolf because I came to see you. I was asked to help you” he applied pressure on the last sentence making my skin feel prickly,
“Wait outside in the living room and I will be downstairs”
“As you wish he turned around whistling, leaving the door open as he walked out.
Anna quickly closed the door and stared back at me with a frightened expression. I understood why both of them were
scared.
Adrian is a vile male with an extremely unpleasant air around him. I felt like burning the dress I was wearing and taking a bath afterwards. I wanted to wash the disgusting sensation he left when he stared at me creepily.
Julia, I will try the rest of the dresses later. Also, throw the one I am wearing in trash” I ordered before going behind the partition and changing out of it.
“Luna, are you alright? I am sorry that I couldn’t stop him from entering inside. Julia said trembling and I smiled.
“Don’t be scared. It’s not your fault” I assured her and quickly stepped outside the room, about to kick him out of my house.
How dare he frighten my maids.
Everyone was busy working when I stepped down the stairs. I spotted him right away, talking to Adolf.
“Adolf, what is happening here?” I asked upon reaching closer to the sitting area.
“Luna, I was attending to Commander Adrian Adolf answered politely and I felt angry.
Didn’t he say he was here to check the preparations? Then why is he making busy people work!
“Adolf, did you know about Commander Adrian’s visit?” I asked and he shook his head.

“I only got to know that he is here when I saw him coming down the stairs” He answered and I glared at the bastard sitting on the sofa as if it was his mother’s house.

“Have you checked the preparations, commander?” I asked, suppressing my anger.
“Yes, sister–in–law. They have been progressing smoothly from the look of it. However, my dear brother is not making you do all the work, is he? I can share some of your workload anytime

“My sister–in–law worries a lot about me. I am already working on that. You don’t need to be worried for me. I will be fine and shouldn’t helping my one and only sister–in–law be my priority?

I said with a harmless smile and saw his cheeky demeanour crack for the first time since he had shamelessly paid a visit.
“I will heed my sister–in–law’s advice and take my leave now.” He stood up and I rejoiced from inside, happy to see him leave when he suddenly whispered near my car leaving goosebumps in the wake of his eerie voice
