Chapter 34
Chapter 34
Liliana
No one came.
It was just me and the six assailants. They answered my howl with a menacing growl.
They were angrier than before, and two of them were running towards me. They were going to tackle me from both directions. If they ambush me from both sides, then I wouldn’t be able to escape or fight them together.
Don’t tell me, this is going to be my end.
Will they really kill me? Or keep me as a hostage? Do they know I am the Luna of the Blood Claw pack? They know, don’t they that’s why they are doing this to me…for goddess sake’s the position beside Damian is a ticking bombshell!
It’s all his fault! Neither should he have behaved so rudely and absolutely hatefully nor would I have come here and gotten stuck with these assailants!
‘What kind of thoughts are you having Lily? Those two are coming towards us, get ready. We are going to fight!” Syl yelled i my head and although I had much more I wanted to say, after all, why not, those can be my last words!
I took a defensive stance, trying to notice their moves with a calm mind, finding any gaps, I could use in my favour although all I could notice was them coming closer to me step by step, my heart jumping out of my chest and settling in its new location, I didn’t approve of because who would like to see their mouth throbbing in their mouth.
No one and yet it was happening to me. Fear was gripping my body slowly as I watched the other three stalking towards me as well as if there were not just two but all five of them coming towards me.
I was scared as well as filled with a determination to not go down without a fight even though I was not a trained warrior.
In just a second they were right in front of me, swinging their claw in the air. I forgot the calculations I had drawn up in my mind, and the will to fight back as pure terror seized my body.
I shut my eyes tight, waiting for that claw to hit me and, if possible strike some courage in me. But even after another second, nothing happened.
Before I could open my eyes, my fur shook with a loud growl…a familiar loud growl.
A majestic black wolf stood in front of me fighting the two wolves who were trying to attack me single–handedly. The air clashed with growls and barks, chilling the trees with its ferocity.
Damian mercilessly ripped the wolf’s arm who came at me swinging his claw and he painfully howled before his neck was severed from his body. Blood splattered everywhere and Damian swiftly moved through those tiny red droplets hunting his
enemies.
He was now fighting the other wolf who had succeeded in landing a blow on his shoulder blade, ripping his flesh under his claw. I unconsciously moved in his direction worried when he grunted.
However, before that assailant could take advantage of his injury, Damian bit his neck, spilling his blood before he ripped it
off.
I stepped back, scared by the bloody visual and suddenly the other two wolves came running towards him while the third one tried to sneak up on him from the back.

He was prepared for the two wolves coming from his front and threw the body of the dead wolf in their direction toppling them while I put myself between him and the assailant trying to attack him from behind.
He growled and his behaviour changed to vicious. I raised my front paws ready to pounce on him when suddenly Damian’s fur grazed mine eliciting a streak of sparks in my body and he knocked him down, stepping on his belly.
The wolf tried to scratch his and claw his legs but Damian stood firm before blood sprinkled in the air, gushing out like a fountain later.
I turned around sparing my eyes the painting Damian was painting and came across the three carcasses of the wolves instead.
Damian defeated all of them alone and we were out of danger. I tried searching for the wolf who was injured but he was nowhere to be seen.
Did he escape?
I was wondering by myself when all of a sudden, my fur was caressed by the soft black fur of Damian as he walked in front of me and nudged my muzzle.
He caressed my cheek next, gently before he stepped away and howled.
His howl was louder and stronger than mine which made me itch to howl alongside him but I held my mouth and the next second, before I could even contemplate his move, our argument from earlier, him coming to help me and so much more. his
eyes
were on me.
Intense, scary and sharp.

His gaze demanded a whimper out of me but I held my mouth again.
I was not going to melt under his alpha command.
My knees were pushing me to give up, aching to buckle under his commanding stare which claimed for obedience right now but I held myself and didn’t stare back into his eyes.
I was avoiding him. I had to because I wasn’t ready for the aftermath which was ultimately caused by him. He was the biggest reason behind me running to this green expanse alone.
While I was fidgeting nervously in front of him, he shifted back into his human form and called my name in a frosty fury. “Liliana shift” He ordered but I turned my neck to the other side in disobedience.
I had my gaze lowered despite Sylvia howling in my head to let her see his naked body. How can she be the complete opposite of me in a time of crisis?
Is this the time to enjoy his naked body? It really isn’t much to see, anyway!
‘Really? You are such a liar, Lily‘
‘Oh shut up, Syl! I am not! It really isn’t much!‘
