Chapter 37
Liliana
I am not a trained warrior, just a princess who knows how to hunt and thus this incident right now where I had to face them alone for quite a time was no less than a war scene.
It was frightening to be mobbed by six gigantic scary–looking wolves. It will take me nights to make it disappear from my head. I caught a sigh back in my throat and wrapped my arms around my torso.
Chills were running through my body and I was feeling cold. I wanted to go back to my room right away and bury myself in my snug blankets. However, no one was there in the driver’s seat yet!
I was going to tell either Julia or Anna to take the steering wheel and Oliver opened the car door, gladly, and was about to sit inside when Damian walked over and told motioned him to leave.
What is he doing?
Within a second, Damian was seated inside the car instead of Oliver, driving us back to the mansion.
I didn’t glance at him once through the whole ride while his eyes were on me through the rear–view mirror the while the whole time until he left the car in the driveway.
I quickly got out of the car and started walking towards the staircase leading to my room.
“Slowly, you
don’t want to slip” I knew he was behind me and yet his voice startled me but I kept my calm and continued walking, slower this time.
Soon we were in front of our room and I stepped inside, ready to hit the bed but contrary to my plans, Damian didn’t just leave after accompanying me on the stairs and closed the door of the room instead.
“Were you expecting me to leave?” He even dared ask this.
I didn’t answer and passed me a small smirk.
Does he ever smile?
“How can I? When we didn’t complete our conversation before. However, I am busy so I will come to the conclusion directly and skip everything else.” He said and stepped closer until we were again in each other’s kissable distance.
“You just need to put this thing inside your head, Liliana. You can’t go alone anywhere because there will always be situations like today ready to entrap you.
You need to be aware of your position in the pack. It’s precarious because I have more enemies than the number of people you might have met till now” he breathed and I held my lips firmly shut refusing to say a word.
I know he will assign his men to me now. There was really no need to say this but he just had to prove his point.
“Also, don’t worry, I will come to satisfy you at night again despite being a man far from your type” he whispered sarcastically in the end, leaving his hot shadow breathing alive in front of me even when he was out of the door and probably the mansion as well.
I couldn’t move even after he left leaving the door wide open as if he was still standing in front of me, smirking or twisting his lips in a sneer, embarrassing me with our nightly affairs again and again.

Chapter 7
So….so frustrating
I left the crumpled overcoat and punched the air seconds ago before Julia and Anna walked inside the room frantic and
worried.
“Luna, are you alright? Why did you leave without telling us? Were you somehow upset with us? Anna asked tearfully and 1 shook my head.
“Not at all, Anna, It’s not your guy’s fault. It’s my fault for going without telling anyone, I just went out for a run and several
wolves attacked me”
They gasped and I quickly assured them again.
“Thank goddess, nothing happened to you and Alpha saved you at the right time” Anna said and 1 agreed with her inwardly,
That’s right. If Damian would have been a second late, things might have gone terrible for me.
“You were so brave fighting them alone for such a long time as well, Luna” Julia said with a smile and I mirrored her.
“Now, enough with the tears and worries. Prepare a hot bath for me. I am exhausted” Both of them quickly got it ready and I went inside stripping out of the coat and the shawl.
The water sloshed when I stepped inside the huge bathtub and soaked myself up to the neck.
I sighed contentedly when the warm water fused with my cells and gave me immense comfort.
Ahh, I finally feel alive.
I slowly closed my eyes and the visuals from the attack before plagued my mind. I furrowed and they shifted to Damian yelling at me. That made my mood worse and a headache popped up, ruining it entirely,
I don’t want to watch our recent argument as well.
I quickly finished my bath and got outside the bathroom after wearing a comfortable set of pyjamas from the closet. I preferred sleeping in just my undies but right now, I find pyjamas to be more comfortable.
I kissed my pillow, which I obtained after hardly persuading both Julia and Anna to postpone the appointment with the doctor. They were hell–bent on getting me checked by the pack doctor but I didn’t have enough energy for that.
I received a few scratches on my body which had started to heal by now and the only thing which needed patching up on my body was my shoulder which although out of critical damage still had much to heal.
Thus, I was wearing a sleeveless pyjama set because of my shoulder.
However, no matter how much treatment it required, sleeping was the most essential right now. My head was throbbing and I wasn’t feeling good for many reasons and sleeping looked like the best remedy for all.
I quickly fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes and my body fell onto the soft mattress embraced by my snug warm blanket.
