I wonder why great Luna is trying so hard to make her son the alpha when Damian is already in that position. Is it even possible to overthrow Damian?

‘Yes, it is, if they kill him‘

Chills went down my spine when I heard Syl’s words in my head. I know they have been trying to kill him. However, how can someone dare eye their alpha’s position?

That’s a felony!

Aren’t we supposed to be loyal towards our Alpha and those who defy him are no less than pack enemies, then why isn’t Damian doing something about it?

He knows that that trio is dangerous and yet he lets them run amok. He won’t even tell me the reason if I ask. He is a stubborn jerk like that. He doesn’t even want to involve me with the pack matters…it’s so unfair and insulting.

Gosh, then so be it. Suffer and fight alone!

To think, that old hag is trying to place her bastard son in the Alpha’s position who has such a loose character that once he is crowned as the Alpha, no female would be safe nonetheless of mates.

God, I get so angry when his face comes to my mind. I am so pissed right now that everything seems to get on my nerves.

I blame it all on that damned present from the morning. It’s infuriating to see them send me a present…how dare they!? Do they think everything is normal between us now that I am married to Damian?

Did they think I forgot everything they did to me? Those pathetic lies about not holding each other the night I caught them and then mingling with each other the next day as if they were long–lost mates.

Everything is so infuriating.

“Luna, it’s time for the appointment with Doctor Richard now,” Anna said cautiously and I sighed.

“Let’s go” I got up and followed Julia who was leading the way outside the mansion.

Both of them were going to accompany me to the doctor’s clinic and I don’t have to tell why. Anna was walking alongside me while Julia was walking in the front.

I was wearing a sleeveless top, jeans and a cape–sleeve blazer over it. Anna opened the door of the car for me and I noticed that the driver was changed.

It wasn’t Oliver but someone else. He must be one of Damian’s men as well. I moved my gaze away from him to the moving scenery outside. Julia told me that we were going to the pack hospital where the pack doctor, Richard Green would check me personally.

Not that there is much to see in the first place. The wound is half healed and the scratches on my body are nowhere to be seen. We quickly arrive at the large white building with multiple windows, looking like a hotel at first glance.

I get off and again follow Julia who takes me through the busy entrance and then a quiet hallway into a pristine elevator. The hospital was a six–floor building and the doctor’s clinic was on the fifth floor.

“Is that hallway preserved for the Alpha and family?” I asked once we were out on the ceramic tiles of the fifth floor.

“Yes, Luna. It is so they can be taken to the doctor without any difficulty” Julia answered and I nodded.

Soon, we were standing outside the room showcasing a young man dressed in a white coat looking through x–ray reports on his desk. The nameplate hung on the door said, ‘Doctor Richard Green‘

“Doctor Richard” Julia called out his name and he looked up breaking out in a smile when his gaze hoovered on all three of us. He left the report and the chair scraped when he got up.

“Good Morning Luna, I am Richard Greens, the pack doctor”

“It’s nice to meet you, Mr Greens. I didn’t know you were so young” I said walking towards the stool he motioned with his hand accompanied by his hearty chuckle.

Hmm, he is charming.

The dimples shine when he smiles….and that’s cute.

‘What are you doing right now, Lily?‘

‘What do you think I am doing? Just admiring the beauty‘

‘Well, I wouldn’t do that if I were you‘

‘You are me and why wouldn’t you do that? I know how much you appreciate the physical anatomy so you better not act like an innocent wolf right now‘

‘I only admire our mate’s physical anatomy!‘

I internally rolled my eyes at Syl’s sudden chaste behaviour. Like who taught me how to admire in the first place?

‘Syl, wolves are never innocent so how about we keep that image up?‘

I blocked her out and focused more on what Doctor Green was saying.

“I hear it often but I didn’t know I would hear it from Luna as well. I come from a family of doctors so getting acquainted with medicine and medical appliances wasn’t very hard”

“Well, it’s still noteworthy of you to be in the position of the pack doctor at such a young age because that just shows how intelligent and remarkable you are” He accepted the compliment with humility.

“I heard you were ambushed in the woods, Luna and was severely hurt in the process. If you allow, may I take a look at your condition?” He grew serious after the introductions were over, switching to his doc mode.

“I am not severely hurt, Doctor Greens. Only my shoulder requires your attention.” I answered and he looked relieved.

“That’s a good thing to hear. I was worried when I heard Julia on the phone. She said you were severely injured.”

“Oh, she just worries a lot and exaggerated a simple wound on the phone. Don’t mind her.” I glanced at Julia who trembled with unease.

Seriously, they worry too much.

I was touched and not one bit angry. I even felt guilty for not allowing them to relax the whole time they spent being cautious around me. I shouldn’t have been too absorbed in my troubles.

“Then allow me” Richard said and I removed my blazer, showing the wounded shoulder.

He examined the wound for a minute or so before giving his prescription.

“It’s a puncture wound from a claw. Most of it has healed thankfully. However, we still need to be careful so that an infection doesn’t flare up later. I will clean the wound for now and apply an antibiotic ointment”

He then rinsed my wound under the tap and cleaned the rest of it with a cotton tab. It tingled and burnt a little when he was applying the ointment. However, I was able to endure it without letting out any funny noise because it wasn’t a fresh wound.

Lastly, he wrapped it with a clean bandage.

“Change the dressings every day and keep an eye out for the infection. You will be out of danger after five days, till then please take yourself, Luna. As for the dressing, you can either come to me or have your maids help you with that” I nodded, already making plans to either nap or read some new books in my head.

“Thank you for your service, doctor Greens. I am sure the pack feels safe to have you as the pack doctor” I smiled, about to leave when he blushed shyly.

What is this…he is cute.

“Thank you, Luna, you are praising me a lot”

“You deserve every word I said. By the way, Doctor Greens, do you have a mate?” I asked, suddenly feeling curious about him.

“Mate…not yet, Luna” His brightly shining face suddenly dimmed and I regretted asking that question a little.

“Oh my, it’s not something to be upset about. I am sure, you will find her soon and she will be proud to have you as her mate although, it could get a little difficult for her.”

“Difficult, why?” He asked, smiling nervously.

Well, look at that.

“Because she will have to face many young females who would be fans of Doctor Greens because it would be absurd to not be popular with a charming personality like yours” I teased him and goodness, the tip of his ears looked as if they were on fire.

“Please stop joking around, Luna. I wish to find my mate soon”

“Yes, yes, I won’t tease you anymore and don’t worry you will find your mate soon. Believe in my words and if I look untrustworthy, believe in the moon goddess instead.” I joked again and he nodded before going pale.

“How can I commit such disrespect? Of course, I believe in your words Luna” I stifled a laugh and was about to part with him when suddenly a gravelly voice interrupted the harmonious atmosphere between us.

“Thank you for looking after my wife’s injury Doctor,” Damian said leaning against the door with folded arms, covering Doctor Greens‘ nameplate in the process.

I took a deep breath feeling my frustration from earlier getting back by looking at the other person who has joined the list of uninvited people who have been bothering me since this morning

Oh yes, he may be a little better than Austin, Hazel and the trio, but he still is the worst in his own way.

“Did you take a good look at her shoulder? Will it heal soon?” He asked the doctor, wrapping his brazen arm around my waist, talking casually as if we had the best relationship out there.

He didn’t even come back last night!

Gosh, why am I even fussing over that for god’s sake!?

“Yes, Alpha. It will heal soon, in around 5 days and that’s just to be extra careful otherwise, it will completely heal in just about three days” Doctor Greens said and he nodded, satisfied, pulling me to the stool again along with him.

Why is he making me sit again!?

I glared at his face and just as I expected, he looked back at me before ignoring every question I was asking him through my glare and gazing back at Doctor Greens who too took a seat back, confused.

“Well, that’s a good thing to hear. I also wanted your advice regarding birthing a pup” I choked on my own saliva when I heard him say that.

Advice for what now!?

Has this man gone insane!?

“You both are healthy and at your best age to produce one but if there are other problems, you are facing, I might assist you with that” Richard was back to his doctor mode and I hated every second of it.

“I want to know whether doing it daily is enough or should we increase the time of intercourse?”

“Certainly, Alpha. Doing it daily is enough. I believe we all will soon hear good news” Doctor Greens said smiling, not shifting from his professionalism even for a second.

I swear I feel like my eyes widened to the back of my head, inflating into goddess knows what. I fear they will burst the next second if I continue being a part of this absurdity.

Julia and Anna were still inside the room and…and why is he…

I pinched his arm which was still around my waist but he didn’t flinch even when I dug my nails in his skin.

“I also have a question, Doctor. Besides the intercourse, should there be a harmonious relationship between parents when aiming for a pup? Like no arguments and an understanding behaviour?” I ask and feel his gaze on me.

What? Did he have difficulty understanding my words because they constituted words like, ‘Understanding and mutual harmony?‘

“Yes, Luna. It is as important as healthy intercourse. Parents should have a good compatibility and a harmonious relationship to reduce emotional and mental stress which will help boost their fertility.

As for arguments, small disagreements don’t affect anything and I believe they are a part of a married life so you needn’t worry about that but there shouldn’t be big discords.”
