Chapter 43
Liliana
The hut door was ajar and I decided to open it all at once instead of pecking through it.
My hand was shaking but I steeled it.
I curled my fingers into my fist and threw my hand at the door handle in one go before slamming it open.
The sight which welcomed me inside the cabin left me beyond shocked,
Damian was holding a dishevelled Lucia by her throat and they were sitting on a bed. She was hovering over him, clawing at his hand but he was not letting her go. She was having difficulty in breathing and her eyes were getting droopy.
I gasped when her body started becoming limp in his arms and Damian’s eyes fell on me.
I flinched at the coldness and pure contempt swirling in his eyes.
However, when his eyes fell on me, he smiled, and I started walking toward him unconsciously. When I was standing closer to him, he left Lucia with a jerk and pulled me into an embrace.
Lucia fell to the floor and started coughing, panting harshly for the air. Tears were running down her face and she was writhing like an animal.
I couldn’t understand what was happening when suddenly Damian held my chin and kissed my lips. His kiss was intoxicating. I could taste the beer in his mouth when his tongue engulfed mine, stroking me everywhere and filling me with his essence.
“Get lost,” Damian growled when Lucia was trying to get up and ended the kiss. His hand went around my waist possessively and he snuggled me into his embrace.
“I don’t want to make love to my mate in front of a fucking bitch like you. Leave and don’t come in front of me because you know, I can kill you anytime I want” his ice shards–like words pierced Lucia and she ran away with a dress which was about to come undone.
Suddenly, it was only the two of us left in the cabin.
“Hmm, how come you are here, Liliana? You smell so fucking sweet” He murmured and nuzzled into my neck and I felt my heart pitter–patter when his hand slowly went down my back.
I held the back of his head when he rubbed against me before he stilled and I stopped feeling the presence of his lips on my skin because he opened them but before could suck on my flesh, he withdrew his head and stared at me.
He kept staring at me for a minute and I looked at him with an awkward nervousness.
I was about to say something but he beat me to it.
“Lucia… that woman was my ex–mate. She cheated on me with my stepbrother, Adrian and rejected me. I despise her and yet she thinks she can still climb in my bed.” He said spitefully and while I was still digesting the weight the words he threw at me held, he picked up from where he left and sucked on my collarbone making me explode with heat.
I moaned when he bit me and licked the mark he left.
I was astonished to hear that Lucia was his first mate! She cheated on him with Adrian, his brother! What a terrible thing to

I stared at him who was licking his lips satisfactorily after taking a big bite off me.
How did he feel at that time? Was he hurt? Devastated and completely crushed under the pain of the betrayed of a mate the he go through the same pain as me?
I reached out my hand and cupped his cheek, itching to pull him into a bug, What was I thinking and what it really wast
I feel so foolish right now,
“I will drop you at the mansion. It’s too late” He said and my hand fell when he stood up, ready to leave,
However, I didn’t want him to leave.
I quickly held his loose sleeve hanging on his arm and he came to a stop. He flicked his pretty stormy eyes at me with a question bound to them.
My heart was beating rapidly inside my chest as if it would pop out but I still prepared myself to say what it really desired.
“You said you wouldn’t hold me in front of her but she is gone now”
1 minute, then 2 and before I could finish counting 1 to 100 thrice, his laugh rang through the wooden cabin.
“Don’t tell me you missed me last night?” He said silkily and I fell on the bed.
He was straddling my legs and gazing at me with dark eyes drunk with desire. I blushed at his indecent gaze which made me feel like I was naked and heard him snort before he ripped my shirt in one go leaving me in just my bra.
“You asked for it yourself, Liliana. You can’t shy away now” Those were his last words before he buried himself into my flesh, kissing, sucking and loving me just like I wanted.
After realizing my feelings for him, his every caress, touch and stroke felt hotter than ever before. It was insane to feel tingles rush to my head even with a light peck on my chest.
Just a moment ago, I was a crying mess. A woman whose hopes were wavering, a woman who realized she loved her husband who might be cheating on her but now, I am a woman who shamelessly asked her husband to hold her.
Who wishes to get lost in the pools of dark desires his eyes promised before he dove right onto her.
His lips left a hot trail down my neck to my chest before he removed the torn fabric from my shoulders and stopped when he saw the bandage.
“Did you cry because you were hurting? Your eyes are red” He muttered and removed the bandage from my wound gently with his teeth.
I hissed when the cold air hit it and he swept his gaze at me.
