Chapter 51
Liliana
My body couldn’t continue being in a state of anxiousness for too long. It wasn’t capable of doing so. I was already exhausted and at some point when my brain started releasing heat, my body calmed down.
I sat there, accepting my fate and staring blankly at the things inside my room while Julia and Anna chose a dress for me. My brain was still fighting a riot with itself, but I was slowly trying to attain peace.
I started working on different strategies and plans that would help me face the people I would encounter today inside the mansion I used to live in.
I never imagined I would be coming back here with Damian so soon. I was still worried about Great Luna and my every fibre screamed with reluctance as I watched the lit–up mansion visible from afar from the car’s window.
However, I couldn’t mull over these things for long because I would have to face it if I couldn’t tell Damian the truth. I have to think of ways of how I am going to react when I see them and how to hold back from throwing up once I see them cross the line.
In the end. I wore the evening gown Julia and Anna chose without any qualms and sat inside the car with Damian, smiling, The dress is not flashy just as I requested and the occasion is not too grand to describe it.
I didn’t even feel like accessorizing myself but did everything in the end. I never wanted to come back here again but I am still getting out of the car and holding onto Damian’s arm he has taken out for me to hold on.
In just a few steps, we were inside another world, full of shimmery lights, glitz and glamour. The ballroom was packed with people I was both familiar and unfamiliar with.
Everyone was dressed in fancy clothes, befitting the ceremony and the moment we entered their gathering, cold eyes swept on me, shivering me to my core.
Those were the people I am familiar with.
It felt as if there was an invisible pressure on my back which was trying to bend me down, round my shoulders and cower in front of them. However, I fought.
I held onto Damian more strongly than before and walked to the centre of the hall where those two sat draped in lavish luxury with my head held high. I no longer belong here and what these people think of me doesn’t matter anymore.
I did not let their nasty stares which dug into my skin bring me down. I can’t. I now hold the honour of the BloodClaw pack. I am the Luna of the BloodClaw pack.
Those words gave me the power to walk alongside Damian and match his haughty strides. Now that, I was getting farther away from the sea of stares, I came closer to the final boss on the throne.
Or should I say a couple of bosses? Austin and Hazel.
“Welcome, it’s so good to see you sister!” Hazel quickly came down and attacked me.
She hugged me and I felt worms crawling on my skin when she came closer and touched me. I remember I told her to not call me sister but not only did she call me one, but she was also acting like one.
It’s loathsome.

It has been so long since I saw you! How have you been? Everyone here misses you a lot”
I was seconds away from snorting at her cheekiness. Misses me? The cursed princess of the Crystal Moon pack who has been excuse me, but disowned?
I was itching to say all that to her face but I couldn’t. My fingers dug in my palm and my fist trembled as I held myself back from saying anything.
The night has started and so does the fucking humiliation.
“But you don’t have to worry about that, Sister since I have been taking care of everyone just fine. Now, I am going to become the Luna as well. Bless me, so everyone forgets any mishaps and fears, like getting cursed” She whispered as she held both of my arms and grinned.
Rage took over my whole body and I glared at her as she mocked me. How dare a mere omega like her!? How dare she–

“I told you to dress warmer. The wind has started getting chillier at night” He scolded me softly and cast an arrogant glance at Hazel who had forgotten everything about grinning creepily.
“Damian Edwards of BloodClaw Pack. I extend my congratulations to the new Alpha of the Crystal Moon pack.” He shook hands with Austin who was standing behind Hazel, after following her footsteps and travelling down from his throne to greet us.
“It’s an honour to have you here, Alpha Damian. Please enjoy the party.” Austin quickly wrapped his other hand around Damian and offered his respect and cowardice.
“Then we shall do so once you leave us, Alpha…” I almost laughed when Damian furrowed his eyebrows and stared at Austin, not knowing what to call him.

“Yes, Alpha of CrystalMoon pack. Enjoy your big night” Damian remarked haughtily and turned around, leaving both the cheaters in the dust. I even imagined the real dust blowing in their faces.
“Did you do that on purpose?” I asked once the people got accustomed to the buzz again and the ball resumed as if the incident from earlier didn’t happen at all.
“What are you referring to?” He asked, genuinely curious and I wondered whether he really didn’t know Austin’s name.
“I am talking about the name of the Alpha of the CrystalMoon pack. You didn’t know he was Austin or you dragged it intentionally?”
“Honey, why would I go out of my way to entertain others? I didn’t know his name. I don’t have any business with CrystalMoon anymore.”
“Why?”
“Because I got you.”
I was feeling intoxicated even before I had a drink. My heart palpitated and I couldn’t look into his eyes anymore. I again

wondered the same thing. Was it on purpose as well?
I hoped it was.
“The wine here tastes terrible.” Damian groaned and kept down his glass.
“Is wine your favourite drink?” I asked because I had seen him drink wine all the time..
“Yes. Why, it doesn’t suit me?” he smirked and I grew nervous.
“No, I didn’t mean that. I just see you drinking wine all the time and it made me curious” I said and all it sounded gibberish
to me.
“I thought you would also say, beer suits me more instead of wine, just like most people do”
“They just judge you because of the rumours about you.”
“And did they do the wrong thing? Despite those rumours about me being true?”
“Yes, they do not have the right to judge you despite anything anyone says about you” I was angry.
Those rumours…they are still a topic of debate. Damian is not as menacing as they make him to be…but he is also not a guy with flowers in his hand.
However, he is my husband and my mate, about whom no one gets to say anything! He likes wine then he likes the wine. What’s wrong with it? Why would they even tell him it doesn’t suit him? Have they ever witnessed him drinking once?
What a picturesque sight it is!?
“I know. They are all dead anyway” I was about to say, serves them good, but held my tongue when I heard his next words.
“I killed them,” He said casually with a full–blown smile and took a sip from the glass he kept before.
“Horrible” He grimaced and kept it down immediately, evoking a laugh out of me.
It was the first time I saw a flight of emotions cross his face in a short amount of time. It was fascinating to watch.
I couldn’t stop laughing even when he was watching me until I grew out of breath and had to stop to catch on to the missing air intake.
“What’s so funny, Liliana?” He asked, raising one of his eyebrows when suddenly both of us were interrupted by a rich baritone voice.
“If it isn’t the fearsome Alpha of the south, Damian Edwards, I am Logan Wright, the Alpha of–
“Greenwich Pack” Damian completed his introduction for him and he looked impressed.
“I wasn’t aware you knew me, Alpha Damian. Should I be afraid or honoured?”
Damian laughed when the Alpha of Greenwich made a joke. He was a young man with blonde hair and forest–green eyes.
I haven’t seen him before but he was able to quickly engage in a lively conversation with Damian.
“It depends, Alpha Logan. It’s entirely up to you”
“I choose to be honoured then. I have been wanting to meet you for a long time but I didn’t know it would be here.”

listening to both of them talking when a beautiful lady dressed in a red evening gown smiled at me.
“Hello, I am Scarlett, Logan’s sister. I loved your necklace.” I smiled.
She was lovely with the same blonde hair and forest green eyes as her brother.
“Thank you, Scarlett. I am Liliana. It’s a gift from my husband and by the way, I have never seen such beautiful eyes. They look like a vibrant forest”
“Goodness, you are making me blush and about the gift, I can tell. Isn’t this your husband’s blazer on your shoulders?”
It was my turn to blush now. I didn’t realize that I still had his blazer on my shoulders.
“Well, yes, I was feeling cold before. So, he lent it to me”
“Oh my! There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Mates are like that, you guys are mates, aren’t you?” I nodded and she beamed. “I also dream of finding a mate and enjoying cute moments like this!”
I giggled at her dreamy face. She is adorable.
“Also, I knew I would find someone amazing to survive this ceremony! My brother brought me here against my will, you see. I then forced my close friend to come as well.
__moj_hal!
She is betrothed to Alpha Carter of the Icehowl pack. It’s our neighbouring pack and we have been friends with them since I don’t know how long but quite a long time.
However, she hasn’t been here yet and then my stupid brother did something good for once. He approached someone and then I saw you. I hope I am not talking too much”
“Not at all. I was also finding a good friend to kill time because as you can see my husband has already made himself busy with your brother. So, I was left alone with nothing to do except for listening to them talk.”
“Oh my, I can feel your pain. How about we distance ourselves from them? They only talk about boring stuff”
“I can’t disagree” I never knew I would find such a good friend in this trash ceremony. Scarlett is really fun to chat with.
“Oh my god! There she is!”
“What happened?” I asked surprised to see her pointing her finger at a group of people huddled near the door.
“She has arrived, Skylar, the friend I told you about. Let me get her. You are going to love her.” She didn’t even wait for me to say something and ran off to get her friend.
I envied the pure bond of friendship they shared. All my friends turned their backs on me once they got to know about my origin. It was very painful. I thought I wasn’t destined to have friends but I was wrong.
I hope I can be good friends with Scarlett and her friend, Skylar. I was left by myself, listening to Damian’s conversation with Alpha Logan once again.
“Yes, I have also been interested in Greenwich. I heard you fended off the hunters with the help of the mountain pack. How were you even able to bring them to your aid?” Damian said and Alpha Logan beamed.
“You flatter me, Alpha Damian, and please call me Logan. You see, one of our pack members wed the mountain pack’s young alpha. We are friends with them now thanks to the new development”
“Arranged marriages always work” Damian said and I was filled with mixed feelings upon hearing that.

alked about arranged marriages like they are a deal…they are. However, I thought we had come far from that point.
Days ago, I used to hate being tied to him but now, I feel grateful that it happened and I met him but how does he feel about all of this? As if on cue, Alpha Logan asked him the same question.
“What about yours? I heard you married the princess of the CrystalMoon pack.”
