Liliana
I stared in the mirror and a girl wearing a beautiful red velvet mermaid dress stared back at me. It was a strapless dress, Velvet Roses were sewn beautifully on the neckline while the skin flowed elegantly in a mermaid flare.

I was wearing a Ruby necklace with the dress, Julia told me it was a heirloom. The other maid, Anna left my hair open in loose curls and brought me beautiful red stilettos for shoes
“Dear Luna, let me help you with the stole” Julia then draped a white fur stole around my shoulders.
I was now ready for the ball. However, Damian still had not arrived to pick me up. Instead a young man, I might have noticed among his men has come to escort me to the ballroom.
“Luna. I am here to escort you to the ball,” He said politely, slightly bowing and extending his right hand for me to take.
I was upset that Damian was absent when we should have entered the ballroom together because we were the honorees. However, giving in to my fate, I accepted..
“What is your name?” I asked, sliding my hand into his.
“I am Oliver. Luna” He answered and I nodded.
Laccepted Oliver’s escort. He took me to the car and we arrived at another big mansion in a few minutes which was bustling with people. I suddenly grew nervous because of the number of people.
I wondered which mansion this was and whether it was solely there for hosting functions and balls. I stepped out of the car with Oliver’s help and he swiftly guided me inside the ballroom through the crowd.
Everywhere was glitz and glamour with everyone dressed beautifully and up to the mark. I guess being escorted by Oliver didn’t just come with the benefit of people giving way but also receving their overwhleming stares.
After crossing what felt like maybe forty of fifty people, I now stood in front of the ballroom overlooking another crowd of people at the end of which Damian sat on a magnificent throne like a proud wolf.
There was an empty throne beside him where I was supposed to sit.
My breath hitched when I saw him gazing at me as well. Our gazes collided before they fell in sync as we stared at each other without breaking the contact.
I wondered how could he see me amidst the people in the gigantic ballroom when the announcer announced my arrival.
“Luna Liliana Robinson Edwards has arrived”
Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and suddenly, countless eyes were on me as I strode forward, trying to walk elegantly. It wasn’t my first time being the centre of attention. However, the scale here differed greatly from my past life’s
My heart was beating rapidly inside my chest as I was walking. I felt people stare at my every move and their eyes became embellishments I carried for a while.
I decided to wear them as jewels and flaunt them until I strode up to the stairs leading g to Damian’s throne, paired with an
empty one on his side.

I then ascended the stairs and Damian stood up. He had a crooked smile on his face as he extended his hand in front of me. He looked satanically handsome in a black formal suit and a black fur cape.
When I saw him dressed in all black, I suddenly remembered hi wolf form. He was exuding an air of regal dominance. He sat there like a king, gazing at the people arrogantly like the alpl he was,
He kissed the back of my hand not breaking the eye contact he started since I was at the door.
“You are dressed in the same shade as that traitor’s blood and yet it doesn’t look revolting when it’s on you” his deep voice tugged at the strings of my heart.
It wasn’t a compliment, nor, should such arrogant words flutter my heart, but they did. I felt my heart flutter before I calmed myself down.
“That’s one strange compliment I have never heard,” I replied before sitting on the throne beside him. Although, I was scared of him, I was still a princess from inside. Hhave been taught to raise my head and talk elegantly even if there’s a grim reaper standign before me and Damian is no different, if we are not considering the look.
Because if we are then, Damian is certainly a handsome soul–snatching grim reaper, to whom sinners and saints alike would wish to offer their souls
“And you never will because they are given by me he brought the glass of wine to his lips again, which were busy sipping on the red sloshy liquid when I entered the hall before they were tilted into another one of his smirks.
I then soaked the ballroom scene inside me as I observed the people and the decorations when an elder requested Damian to start the festivities.
He nodded as he stood up for his speech.
“I am elated to see you all fill up the room in celebration of my marriage and to welcome your Luna.” He glanced at me before continuing.
“Tonight is the night of the festival and I hope you all will enjoy it to the fullest. Damian raised a toast and everyone drank their wine before breaking into cheers.
The ball started in full swing and a happy atmosphere spread all around before another Damian’s minister whispered something in his ears.
He smiled before permitting him to do something. His actions made me curious, and soon, a group of girls dressed in weird. dresses entered the hall. They all bowed in front of us and a strange melody started playing in the room.
They were a group of performers. They danced to the tunes of the strange melody, quite beautifully entrancing everyone. who was watching them…everyone, including Damian.
All of the performers were wearing quite revealing clothes. They wore a halter neck bra–like top of vibrant colors, decorated with beads and sequins paired with a flowing skirt.
Whenever they moved to the beats of the music, beads attached to their skirts jingled, creating a beautiful distraction. Along with the beads on their skirts, the coins attached to their hip belts jingled creating a clinking sound whenever they swayed their waist and hips.
At first glance, it was quite a provocative dance. However, as you watch it, it appeared as a beautiful show of elegant
movements.
Everyone was wearing a veil, matching the color of their dress which also twirled and swayed beautifully whenever they

Their jewelry was also quite different but not new. However, when I looked at them intently, their designs were something I hadn’t seen before.
