I didn’t think that Darren would bring me to court after falling from grace. His actions served as a huge eye -opener for me.
As I listened to Darren’s accusations against me in court, I couldn’t stop myself from chuckling out loud. Even my lawyer next to me had to stifle his laughter.
“You promiscuous woman!” Darren shouted while glaring at me. Then, he made his request to the judge.” Since we are legally married, I want half of all her assets!”
Wow. Did he really think he owned the court and the judge and jury in it? Why else would he make such a ridiculous demand?
The judge also looked fairly speechless at his demand. Still, he managed to compose himself and remain calm. He had also most probably heard of Darren and his infamous doings.
Moments later, I calmly made my own request to the judge which was a lot more justifiable than what Darren had just demanded. I also signaled to my lawyer to hand over the documents we had prepared in
advance.
I smiled politely at the judge and said, “Your Honor, I am requesting a divorce and for Mr. Miles to leave the marriage without any assets.”
My lawyer then submitted all the documents to the judge. Since I had a prenuptial agreement in place, it meant that Darren was not entitled to a single cent of my assets.
Our case had most probably garnered a lot of public attention since it happened. There were a lot of spectators present on the day of the verdict. Also, the court had chosen to live–stream the entire proceeding as part of their legal awareness campaign.
In the end, the judge sided with me and granted us the divorce. Darren was also to leave with nothing–no money or assets whatsoever from me.
Thousands of online viewers couldn’t help whooping in delight when they heard the verdict.
That day, I posted a photo of the divorce cert on my Twitter account. This time, there were many sweet comments under my post.
“Congrats on finally leaving that bastard!”
“Ah, you’re finally free from that jerk! This is a joyous celebration!”
“You’re the best! It’s better to be single and powerful after all!”
Nobody thought that Darren could be so evil as to try and run me over with a car in broad daylight.
I was thoroughly mind–blown at his actions. Just before I fell unconscious, a thought crossed my mind.
“Damn, this man is wicked to his bones!”
When I woke up again, Darren had been arrested and thrown into prison because he was found guilty of attempted murder.

My parents, siblings, and Cindy were all waiting anxiously in my ward for me to wake up. When I finally opened my eyes, they were all so relieved that they started crying.
It was only then that I knew I had been literally banging on death’s door.
Before crashing into me, Darren had intentionally pierced holes in his gas tank. He wanted to take me down together with him in his suicidal mission.
Luckily, my bodyguard smashed my window and dragged me out to safety. That was the only reason why I was alive! Nonetheless, I was still hospitalized in the ICU for a whole week.
After listening to everything, I was thoroughly furious. Darren was a jerk and a bastard through and through. He had better be ready to face my wrath! I was all ready to exact my revenge on him for this.
However, before I could even properly think of a plan to keep him imprisoned for the rest of his life, I was suddenly informed that he had just been served the death sentence.
