As the blessings ended, the live broadcast of Charlotte and Theodore’s real wedding began.
At that moment, they were inside a medieval–style castle in New Orleans, holding a grand, vintage–inspired ceremony.
The castle, adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant flowers, resonated with the sounds of piano and violin, enchanting every guest.
Under the gaze of the attendees, Theodore, dressed in a prince’s ceremonial wedding attire, rode a majestic horse. Following him was a crystal carriage.
The wedding procession scattered countless gold coins and vibrant flowers along the way, accompanied by an entourage tossing more celebratory gifts.
The crowd eagerly gathered the coins, shouting heartfelt blessings as they did so.
Meanwhile, guests at the estate received pure gold ingots and a variety of exquisite candies
and desserts.
The sheer luxury of the wedding left everyone in awe.
Jaziel and Nolan watched as the screen showed Theodore arriving at the castle gates.
In one smooth motion, Theodore dismounted his horse and carried Charlotte out of the
crystal carriage in his arms.
With steady, deliberate steps, he walked with her into the castle.
Jaziel bit his lip so hard that it bled, his eyes reddened with rage.
Bang!
Nolan slammed his fist against the table, grabbed his jacket, and stormed out. Without waiting for Jaziel, he jumped into his car and sped toward the castle.
He no longer cared about their carefully laid plans to disrupt the wedding. None of it
mattered now.

All he wanted was to see Charlotte.
If he couldn’t stop her from registering her marriage, could he at least stop the wedding
itself?
Blinded by desperation, Nolan sped recklessly down the road. He didn’t notice a car losing
control from the side until it was too late.
A deafening crash.
Nolan’s car crumpled under the impact, his legs pinned and immobile.
He could feel the numbness in his legs spreading–there was no sensation at all.
Warm blood trickled down his forehead, sliding across his face.
For a brief moment, Nolan thought his life was over. Instinctively, he dialed Charlotte’s
number.
But he had forgotten–Charlotte had deleted and blocked all his contact information. The call, unsurprisingly, didn’t go through.
Meanwhile, Jaziel, who had followed Nolan, had tried in vain to stop him.
Jaziel himself was teetering on the edge of losing control, jealousy clouding his thoughts. Yet, he forced himself to remain calm.
“It’s just a wedding,” he told himself. “People get divorced all the time. There are countless ways to get Charlotte away from Theodore.”
“Our years together mean something–enough to make Theodore doubt and grow suspicious
of her.”
He repeated these reassurances in his mind, but they did little to quell his turmoil.
On his way to the castle, Jaziel witnessed Nolan’s car accident.
Faced with a choice, he ultimately abandoned his plan to crash the wedding. He couldn’t
leave Nolan to die.

Nolan was his friend, after all. He couldn’t just walk away.
Jaziel rushed Nolan to the hospital. By the time Anne arrived, Charlotte’s wedding had already concluded without a hitch.
In just one day, Jaziel had become a shadow of his former self, his exhaustion etched deeply into his face.
Nolan’s life was saved, but his leg was still undergoing surgery.
Whether or not it could be saved remained uncertain.
The casual promise Nolan once made to Sophie–that he would never race again–had come true in the most tragic way.
Whether his leg healed or not, Nolan’s days as a racer were over. Racing was no longer an option for him.
