Linda set her phone down.
So Ivan’s “urgent business” was rushing to stand up for Katherine.
If he wanted to be someone else’s hero, the male lead of someone else’s story, then he should stop making her feel sick.
Linda dialed her lawyer. “Attorney John, regarding the divorce agreement we discussed before, please add one more item: I want to sell all of my shares in ZyTech and use the funds to establish a charity foundation for orphan relief…”
She ended the call.
Expressionless, Linda clenched her phone and left the hospital room.
Twenty–eight days left, Ivan, and we’ll never see each other again.
That night, at the villa.
Ring–Ring-
The shrill sound of the phone rang repeatedly.
Linda sat on the edge of the bed, her head slightly bowed, watching the screen flash with the name “Ivan.” She frowned and silenced the call.
Half an hour later.
With a loud bang, the bedroom door was flung open.
Ivan, covered in dust, rushed in and pulled Linda tightly into his arms.

“Linda, why didn’t you tell me you were discharged? And why didn’t you answer my calls? Do you know how terrified I was when I couldn’t find you?”
The usually affectionate gesture now made Linda’s body tense up.
Sensing her stiffness, Ivan looked up at her in alarm.
“Are you mad? Is it because I wasn’t there with you at the hospital? I know I was wrong.
Once I get through this busy period, I’ll stay with you. Whatever you want as compensation, I’ll agree to it.”
His gaze was sincere, with a hint of hurt. “Promise me, don’t let me lose you again, okay?”
“I’m just tired.”
Linda brushed him off with a brief reply and lay down to sleep.
Unlike Ivan, she couldn’t fake an unwavering love.
Maybe because of Linda’s coldness, Ivan postponed his work and stayed with her for three
days.
Three days later.
While Ivan was having breakfast with Linda, his phone lit up with a heart icon notification.
With just a glance, he set down his bowl and apologized to Linda, “Linda, there’s an emergency at the company. I’ll go check it out. Enjoy your breakfast, and don’t wait up
tonight.”
Linda lowered her gaze, tearing her piece of bread, and nodded calmly. “I understand.”
Ivan hurried out.
Linda tossed aside her bread, brushed off her hands, and unlocked her phone.
She found the same heart icon that had appeared on Ivan’s phone.

It was the love app For You that Ivan had installed on her phone five years ago, saying it shared real time location data so she could always see where he was.
Back then, she’d laughed at him for still acting like a young lover in a long–married
relationship.
She never expected her first use of this app would be because of his affair.
She went downstairs, got in her car, and followed the app’s route, tracking Ivan all the way
to the hospital entrance,
Linda sat quietly in her car, watching the couple embracing in the distance.
Their conversation was clearly audible-
“It was just food poisoning. I thought I might be pregnant for a moment.”
“Ivan, would you want me to be pregnant?”
Katherine, clinging flirtatiously to Ivan’s neck, received a gentle forehead kiss as he reassured her, “Of course I would.”
Linda had seen that same tenderness in Ivan’s eyes countless times.
She pressed a hand to her abdomen and closed her eyes–there had once been a child there,
