Ethan’s parents arrived at the mansion. The maids carried out their duties as
usual, and these were made in Clara’s presence. Ethan’s mother stopped a
housekeeper. “Where’s Ethan? Why isn’t he coming out?”
The housekeeper pointed upstairs. “He’s locked himself in his room. He
doesn’t want to be disturbed.”
Ethan’s mother was worried.“He hasn’t left his room?”
“No.”
“What about food?”
“He won’t eat. We can’t force him.”
Ethan’s parents were shocked. They knocked on Ethan’s door, but got no
answer. Then, they opened the door, only to see scattered papers covering the
floor. Ethan sat on the floor, writing. His eyes were bloodshot. He was writing”
Clara, I’m sorry” over and over again.
Ethan’s mother cried, “What are you doing?”
Ethan’s father snatched the pen and paper. “What’s the point? We already
know the whole story. How could you do this?!”

Ethan covered his face.“It’s my fault. I betrayed Clara. When I finish this,
she’ll forgive me.”
He was obsessed, writing relentlessly.
Ethan’s mother pleaded, “Ethan, please stop this. You’ll die!”
She tried to stop him, but failed. Ethan’s father suggested, “You want to
apologize? Fine. You go on TV and apologize to her in front of the cameras and
the audience!”
Ethan immediately signed in, investing heavily for a prominent appearance. The show’s producers sensed a juicy story and promoted the episode aggressively.
Ethan made his appearance, haggard and distraught. He openly confessed his affair and begged for Clara’s forgiveness.
