Chapter 11 Ms. Parrish, Your Friend Mentioned That You Had Big News?
Grace put on her sunglasses and walked into a luxurious cafe. Her steps were light yet carried an indescribable
determination.
Sitting in the seat by the window in the corner, a middle–aged man was flipping through his tablet. He looked up,and when he found Grace, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, then he put on a professional smile.
“Ms. Parrish, your friend mentioned that you had big news?” His tone was filled with curiosity.
Grace sat down directly across from him, took off her sunglasses, and looked at him calmly. She said,”an exclusive that can set the entire internet on fire. The highest bidder wins. How much are you willing to pay?”
The manraised his head, and helooked at her with interest. Helightly tapped the table with hisfingers and said, “If it’s related to Mr. Kaufman, I can offer five million dollars.”
“But I have one condition,” Grace said firmly, “the content must be published on the entire internet at the moment the wedding begins.”
The manpaused for a moment, then he smiled and said, “It is interesting, then donedeal.”
Grace took out a USB flash drive and a bank card from her handbag and pushed them to the man.

hesitation.
She stepped onto the escalator in the airport waiting hall, looking up at the huge floor–to–ceiling windows ahead. Sunlight poured in, illuminating her face. Her steps were steady, and there was no trace of emotion on her face, as if she were just an ordinary traveler, who was waiting to board the plane to the next destination.
At noon, Grace sat on the seat at the boarding gate. The announcement came on, and she looked at her watch, stood up, and prepared to board.
Just then, her phone vibrated. She glanced at the screen, the familiar name jumping on the screen.
It was Antonio.
She picked up the phone and heard his deep voice, with a slight tremor and undisguised sadness, Antoniosaid, “Grace, where are you?”
Grace listened quietly without answering. His voice seemed somewhat urgent, “I was wrong, I shouldn’t have ignored you. I know it’s too late, but I want to tell you I’m sorry.”
Grace looked up at the runway outside the window, the sunlight making her squint slightly. Her voice was calm as water, “Antonio, some things have already passed, and I won’t look back either.”
After she finished speaking, she hung upand put her mobile phone into her bag. The radio started playing again as she grabbed her suitcase and embarked on a journey to a distant place.
