Lorek’s eyes sparkled with amusement as he stepped closer, his presence warm and inviting. “I’m not worried,” he whispered, leaning in just enough to make my pulse quicken again. “There’s always a moment when they can’t see us.”

I couldn’t hold back a laugh, her energy was contagious. “Daria, you’re acting like I’ve been hiding a deep dark secret.”

Lorik, sensing my amusement, leaned in and gently took the phone from my hand. His tone was icy

“She was just excited,” I said, though I appreciated his protective streak.

mix of curiosity and dread, I opened the app. My eyes widened as I scrolled through the trending list.
