Chapter 76
There was a brief pause before Andrew responded. “Although I can’t stand that woman, the effect of her endorsement is beyond expectation. The goods in the shops have been selling out recently,”
Lorcia was silent for a moment before she scoffed. “That’s because your company’s product itself is good. It doesn’t have much to do with her, right?”
Andrew’s voice remained calm. “It has everything to do with her. In the past, we used celebrity endorsements, but the results weren’t as good. I suppose it helps that she recently won the piano competition. Her fans have considerable purchasing power and fit our brand’s target demographic.”
Lorcia was clearly unhappy with this explanation. After another pause, she asked, her voice tinged with malice, “So, Uncle Andrew, do you want her to remarry Lorik?”
Andrew’s voice echoed coldly through the bathroom. “She’s not even close to the Luna of Silvermoon I have in mind. Lorik needs a more powerful mate.”
Lorcia, always eager to grasp at the slightest chance of approval, asked tentatively, “And who is the
Luna of the Silvermoon that Andrew has in mind?”
Standing just outside the bathroom, I couldn’t help but sneer. Lorcia’s ignorance was almost pitiable.
She didn’t understand Andrew, not really. He was a man obsessed with his reputation, a man who
would discard anyone if they threatened his carefully constructed image. The scandal Lorcia had
recently caused had damaged her standing, and without the backing of the Flameheart Tribe
bringing Andrew substantial benefits, she was nothing more than a liability.
Sure enough, Andrew’s response was as sharp as a blade. “Lorcia, you’re young and beautiful. There
are plenty of male wolves who adore you. You don’t need to follow Lorik around every day.”
The silence that followed was heavy, almost suffocating. Then, there was a muffled sound, and
guessed that Lorcia had ended the call abruptly, unable to bear the sting of Andrew’s dismissal
Moments later, the bathroom door swung open, and there she was, face–to–face with me. Her eyes widened slightly, then narrowed in anger. I could see the storm brewing inside her, a storm she was foolishly eager to unleash.
“So, you were eavesdropping,” she accused, her voice laced with venom.
I shrugged nonchalantly, letting a smirk curl my lips. “Hard not to, considering how loudly you were whining about your pathetic situation.”

How dare you speak to me like that?‘ Loxia’s face reddened with anger, her eyes glowing with malice, ‘Have you already forgotten what you used to go through here when you were in school?‘
She took a threatening step toward me, reached out her hand and tried to grab my hair and slam my head against the sink.
But she didn’t get the chance to finish. I had changed, and not just in a superficial way. I had trained, endured, and emerged stronger. I wasn’t the same Shirley she could push around like she used to.
Before she could react, I grabbed her wrist, twisting it just enough to make her wince. In one swift motion, I pushed her toward the sink, forcing her head down into the basin. The cold porcelain met her forehead with a dull thud, and she let out a gasp of surprise.
ou bitch, what are you doing? Goddamn it, get off me!” Lorcia screeched, her voice muffled as she struggled against my grip.
Ignoring her protests, I reached for the faucet, turning it on. Ice–cold water gushed out, splashing onto her hair and dripping down her face. Lorcia’s curses filled the small bathroom, though her words were garbled and frantic.
“This,” I said calmly, “is just a taste of what you used to do to me. Back in school, remember? You thought it was funny then. How does it feel now, Lorcia?”
She sputtered, trying to jerk her head free, but I held her firmly in place. The water soaked through her perfectly styled hair, smudging her makeup and streaking her once–pristine appearance. At first, she cursed and raged, but as the water continued to pour, her resistance weakened. Her cursing turned to pleading.
“Please… stop…” she whimpered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the rushing water.
I leaned in closer, my voice low and dangerous. “You brought this on yourself. You’ve spent your life tormenting others, thinking you’re untouchable. But you’re not. Not anymore.”
For a moment, I considered leaving her like this, humiliated and soaked. But then I released her stepping back as she slumped against the sink, gasping for air. She looked pathetic, her once–haughty demeanor shattered, and I couldn’t help but feel a twisted sense of satisfaction.
I left the bathroom without another word, my heart pounding in my chest, but my mind clear. I had won this round, and it felt damn good.
Lorik was waiting for me in the classroom, his sharp eyes immediately noticing the damp spots on my clothes. His brows furrowed in concern as he approached me. “What happened?”
