Delaney ~
I was seasoning London broil for the grills.. and preparing garlic roast potatoes for the oven. I have gotten close to several of the Valkyrie.. and even a couple of the whores. Evie has rapidly become a good friend. She’s dating Ink… not quite a Valkyrie yet.
Maddox ran in with Derek and Brock and breathlessly asked “Are we going to live here, Sissy? Derek said we will move here and live with Venom. Will we!? I really want to.”
And I realized exactly what it means to become Venom’s Old Lady. Of course, we would live together. Why did that not dawn on me? Are we ready for this? A million thoughts raced through my brain. Fuck!
I smiled and said “I would assume we will certainly live with Venom. We will discuss that later Buddy Roe. Right now, we are just going to enjoy ourselves.”
Evie laughed “Good deflection. I saw your face.. It hadn’t occurred to you, yet. That’s hilarious!” I mumbled shut up and went back to prepping potatoes.
Taking a break, I stepped out back.. watching the boys play.

Maddox was miles ahead of Derek and Brock in agility and speed. Tag wasn’t much of a competition for him. He wasn’t ‘IT‘ often.
I turned to go back inside, and Tammy blocked my path “Don’t think Venom will be faithful.. he hasn’t been.. since he started seeing you. Who do you think warms his bed at night?”
I grinned “Let me guess.. it’s going to be a tough one….Hmm.. You? Am I to believe you are about to tell me you are fucking my man?” She sneered “Don’t believe me? Listen, Bitch.. go check his room! You’ll find my stuff in there! So yes! Me! Why would he want a useless virgin when he can have the experience a woman like me provides?”
I kept grinning.. “A whore like you? Not a woman. You know, Tammy.. most of the club girls here are really decent people. Unlike you.. They don’t make shit up to cause trouble. They don‘ t act like bullies. They certainly don’t try to be something they’re not.”
She growled and leaped at me.. landing a punch on my cheekbone. Surprising me. A human.. attacking a wolf. Definitely caught me off guard. Not gonna lie! It was a good punch.. hurt like a bitch. And I struggled to rein Iris in.
I grabbed a handful of hair and dragged her off the porch.. slamming her to the ground. “Get up, whore! You wanted it.. just remember that that’s what you asked for…when it’s all said and done.”

Chapter 10
She jumped to her feet and charged at me. I put my weight on my left leg.. swinging out with my right. My shin connected with the soft tissue of her belly and she flew back several feet.
I let her catch her breath and come for me again. I did a series of three combinations.. punch, punch, jab.. uppercut, jab, punch.. jab,jab, punch. She fell to the ground.. her face bloodied.
I growled “Get your sorry ass to the infirmary. And for the love of Goddess.. get some fucking training before coming for me again.. you useless twat!”
I turned to go inside to wash up.. only to realize I had gathered a crowd. The club girls all started to clap. And I stepped to a smiling Venom “If I find that bitch’s shit in your room.. you’re next!”
Snake said “Fuck me! That explains why you thought someone had been getting in your room, bro!”
Venom said “Baby.. if there is anything of hers in my room.. she planted it.. I have never touched her. I wouldn’t touch her with Snake’s dick.. I swear!” Snake yelled “Hey! Not cool, brother!”
I nodded. That actually made sense.. remembering the conversation I had overheard a few weeks back. “Okay. That makes me feel better. That girl is going to keep on, though. For some ignorant reason she had decided to target me from the day I hired her at the diner. Stupid.. really stupid.. some idiots -never learn. It’s fine. I will handle it.”

Venom said “As soon as we are claimed, you become second in command. The whores fall under your jurisdiction.. and I gotta tell ya.. I have never been more relieved.” I laughed and said “Yeah.. they aren’t going to be. I will be changing a few things. Poor Tammy! I am, once again.. her employer.”
He said “Your first order of business will be meeting with the Valkyrie to decide your ranks.. then discussing Tammy’s punishment for encroachment of our room.. and your man.”
Shaking my head “Oh goody.. Shall I simply introduce myself as the head bitch around here, too?” He cracked up and said “If you’d like.”
I kissed him and made arrangements for Maddox to stay with Manic and his wife. I hopped on my bike and headed to my house for clothes that would be decent enough for a claiming
ceremony.
I asked Iris how she was feeling about this decision and she responded? Laney, if I am honest.. he feels like a second chance mate. We won’t feel the sparks unless he marks us.. Torin smells soo good. I giggled and told her? Like mint and leather..

It took a little longer to decide what I wanted to wear than I hoped.. finally deciding on a maxi dress.. off–white with sunflowers embroidered around the hem. It was simple, but cute.. off shoulder ruffled sleeves and neckline.
Grabbing black jeans and a black button down for Maddox, I headed back to the clubhouse. I was halfway back.. when six bikers boxed me in.. keeping pace with me in guard formation.
This is either pretty awesome.. or very bad. I didn’t see cuts.. so I am leaning towards bad. I stayed on my accelerator and spoke “Call Venom” into my bluetooth.. in my helmet.
He answered immediately “Hey baby!” I asked “Did you send an escort?” At his negative response, I said “I am heading west on Barton.. ten minutes out. Six bikers.. I can’t read cuts.. I’m boxed in and holding at 75 mph.” He growled “Keep your speed steady.. do not slow down! They won’t risk hurting themselves to stop you.. They are probably planning on forcing you into an area with easy access. Stay on the phone with me.. describe everything you can.”
I just kept listing everything I saw “Five Harleys.. two red.. three. black. One Indian Sport Chief.. blue. Matching helmets to the bikes. Their cuts are inside out! The fuck! All wearing leathers.. and strapped. I see at least three weapons. So assume they are all carrying.”
He said “Good, baby. Very good.. What else?” I kept glancing at the riders without taking my eyes off the road. “Tags are blacked out. No discernible marks on the bikes.. except the colors. Oh wait.. Indian Chief guy is wearing Balenciaga riding gear.. Fucker is wearing ten grand in–leather.”
As I said that.. they all shifted left and pulled a U–Turn.. racing

back east, just as I crested a hill to see a hundred bikes headed my direction across the median.
I said “They hooked a U–ey and headed east a second ago.” I pulled over and waited for my guys to turn around and reach

Venom had sent twenty men after the six. He marched straight to me and yanked me into him.. scenting deeply..as if we are true mates.. He whispered “I was never so scared in my whole life. Not in Afghanistan.. Not in Iraq.. Never have I known such fear.”
I just relaxed into his arms. Because, truth be told.. I had been scared shitless, too. I said “They knew you were coming. They didn’t hesitate to haul ass.. before we topped the hill. I didn’t even see them, Venom.. They were on me before I even knew I wasn’t alone on the highway.”
He clenched his jaw.. “I’m thinking we have a traitor… at the very least.. a mole. We will figure it out.
