Chapter 54
Olivia couldn’t believe it. Julian’s sabotage was one thing, but Ann Maxwell trying to take advantage of the situation… especially after Olivia had given her an out… That was the ultimate betrayal!
Evan’s expression was calm, but his eyes were deeper, more intense. He didn’t look at anyone else, only at Olivia.“Do you want to quit?”
“Absolutely not!” Olivia replied without hesitation. Julian’s face was grim, Ann Maxwell glaring at Olivia.
A smile played on Evan’s lips. “Good.” He glanced at his watch.“The doctor said your leg injury will take at least a week to heal. You can choose to go back to Chicago to recover. I’ll arrange a private jet to take you home.”

Olivia thought, Any woman around Evan is a potential rival in Ann Maxwell’s eyes.
“Olivia, you were flirting with him right in front of me. Do you think I’m dead?!” Julian’s enraged voice boomed. Olivia jumped, forcing a smile.“Mr. Shaw, please get out. Get out of my sight.” She lay down, pulling the covers over her head.
Julian was furious but couldn’t do anything to her. He sat silently by the bed.
Olivia stayed in the hospital for three days, Julian by her side, constantly attending to her despite her attempts to shoo him away.
His phone rang incessantly, most calls immediately hung up. Olivia guessed: Had the Crowe family bailed
Rita out?
In the afternoon, while using the restroom, Olivia called Sherry.
