Chapter 62
“Sir, we should help Ms. Frost,” Gary said urgently, the partition raised, ignoring any potential reprimand. Zach nodded in agreement.
Evan lifted an eyelid, giving them a bland look. “Help if you want. Don’t make it sound like I’m some villain.”
Gary turned the car around. Before reaching Olivia, a white BMW pulled up first.
A woman in a striking scarlet red power suit strode up to Olivia. “Wheelchair? Did Julian go crazy and try to break your legs to stop you from running away?”
“Don’t let your imagination run wild.”
“My imagination isn’t as wild as yours,” Sherry raised an eyebrow.
“The results speak for themselves,” Olivia said with a smile.
Sherry pushed the wheelchair towards her car.“I’m afraid it’s “too” effective. Rita is a ticking time bomb.”
Olivia said, “Even if I didn’t provoke her, Rita would still cause trouble. It’s better to use her. The man I don’t want, she’s desperately trying to get. Isn’t that a different path to the same destination?”
Sherry:“What the hell kind of ‘same destination is that?”
Sherry helped Olivia into the car, stowed the wheelchair in the trunk, and drove away from the airport. The Bentley followed slowly.
Gary was puzzled.“Did Ms. Frost know Julian would abandon her, so she asked her friend to pick her up beforehand?”
Zach:“Coincidence, I guess.”
Ten minutes later, the car was still following… Sherry shook Olivia awake.“Yan Yan, wake up…”
“Huh? Are we there?” Olivia woke up, glanced out the window, and rolled it down. The barrier lifted.
Sherry said nervously, “That car’s been following us… No, wait, how did they get in? Do they live in this complex too?” “What?” Olivia looked back, more awake now. Wait… how did they end up behind them?
