Chapter 63
Sherry panicked.“Let’s turn around and leave!”
“No need. That’s my new boss’s car.”
“…New? Boss?”
“Long story. I’ll tell you later.”
Sherry was confused, then she saw the man getting out of the Bentley, and her confusion turned to a gasp. She’d just been marveling at Olivia’s good fortune in getting Evan’s help. Now, she thought… maybe things weren’t so simple.
Olivia sighed. “Use your imagination less. He’s just my new boss.”
Sherry glanced at Evan’s stunning face.“Just?”
Both parties got out of their cars. Sherry was slower, reaching the security gate just as they were entering. Gary held the door, letting them go first. Evan was already in the elevator.
As Sherry and Olivia hesitated between entering the elevator or taking the one next to it, Gary very “thoughtfully” wheeled the wheelchair into the elevator.
Olivia suddenly found herself face–to–face with Evan’s long legs!
An awkward silence.
“President, you were driving pretty slowly,” Olivia said awkwardly, reaching back to subtly nudge Sherry: Turn around!
Sherry, mesmerized by the close–up view of the imposing man, didn’t move.
Evan looked down.“Don’t chat in the elevator. Press your floor.”
Olivia awkwardly pressed the button “Xiaxia- she reminded her again, pinching her.
Sherry took a step back, bumping into Zach’s arm. Apologizing, she pushed the wheelchair forward a bit too much. Olivia felt her face about to hit Evan’s legs.
“Oops!” she exclaimed, instinctively reaching out and her hands landed on his thighs.
Her eyes widened, she froze for five seconds before withdrawing her hands. Mortified beyond belief. Evan’s usually cold, pale face flushed faintly.
