Chapter 70
Evan’s tone was dripping with sarcasm, irritating Olivia. This was her private matter. Even though he’d saved her, even though he was her boss, her marriage wasn’t his business to comment on. But she was even more confused:“I never gave him the code. How did he get in?”
Evan’s expression shifted from sarcasm to bewilderment at her words.
Julian, picking himself up from the floor, stumbled to Olivia, the strong smell of alcohol making her wrinkle her nose.“How did you get in? Did you sleep with him?” he roared.
Olivia slapped him.“Are you crazy? Get out! Go find your little girlfriend!”
Julian, instead of getting angry, knelt before her, taking her hand and placing it on his chest. The roaring lion had transformed into a whimpering puppy.“I misunderstood. I know you wouldn’t. You still love me; you wouldn’t do anything to hurt me.”

Olivia was beyond speechless, pulling her hand away forcefully.“Can we talk about this tomorrow? Go get some sleep. Once you’re sober, we can-”
Before she could finish, Julian hugged her, repeatedly apologizing, his tears soaking her shirt. Olivia was stunned; this wasn’t the divorce battle she’d imagined.
“Let go, please. Calm down,” she said softly.
Julian tightened his embrace.“Say you still love me. Say you won’t leave me.”
Olivia was exasperated. Evan, impassive, made a phone call. The building manager and security arrived. Evan pointed at Julian.“This man doesn’t live here. Get him out.”
The manager checked, saying hesitantly, “Mr. Shaw is the owner of unit 2002. Security footage shows he was heading upstairs but stopped on the 13th floor, likely because you or Ms. Frost pressed a button, causing the elevator to stop there a misunderstanding.”
What?! He bought an apartment on the 20th floor?! Olivia felt her head spinning. Was Julian determined to make her life miserable?
Evan paused, telling the manager, “Please escort him to unit 2002.”
The manager
found this reasonable, especially since the person in front of him was the top–floor resident. He ordered the security guards to help. Julian clung tightly to Olivia, refusing to let go.
Evan stepped in, separating Julian’s arms and forcefully pulling him away from Olivia. Julian opened his bloodshot eyes.“Jones! Xuan! Zhou!” He tried to punch him, but he was too unsteady, his punch missing wildly.
