Chapter 87
Understanding the situation, he turned to the near–tearful Olivia Pate?
Olivia nodded numbly “Yes, fate.”
The door opened. Julian strode over, sitting next to Olivia, his gaze sweeping from her face to her hands. He suddenly smiled, pulling the noodles towards him, picking up chopsticks.“Starving. Came to eat noodles myself. Why didn’t you tell me?”
Olivia gave a strained smile. Julian looked at Evan.“Mr. Jones, why am I always circling other people’s wives? She has a husband, don’t you know?”
Sherry couldn’t stand it.“Julian, stop acting like a rabid dog. Mr. Jones kindly rescued her.”
Julian looked at her. “Didn’t you say in your message that if he wasn’t interested in you, you’d stand on your head and eat sh’t? Ready to eat now?”
Olivia froze. They never expected their chat messages to reach Evan’s ears like this.
The atmosphere thickened. Evan smiled softly, calm and composed.“Whether I’m interested in Ms. Frost or not is my business, not hers. If my actions offended Mr. Shaw, I apologize. But regardless, even if you’re her legal husband, acting against her will is extremely uncouth.”
Olivia held her breath, her heart racing. Sherry: For the first time, someone said the lines about “even if I like your wife, you can’t stop me” so elegantly. Wow, this man is amazing!
Julian was speechless, clenching his fists.
“Excuse me,” Evan called out. The owner approached.“Handsome, anything else?”
Evan: “The noodles are cold. Four more bowls, please.” He glanced at Sherry.“Extra beef for this lady.”
Four more bowls arrived. Julian was too angry to eat. Olivia ate half a bowl, her mind racing. Sherry kept stealing glances at the next table, only eating the meat.
Only Evan ate calmly, wiping his mouth.“You’re wasting food.”
“No! I haven’t finished!” Sherry buried her face in the noodles, burping.
Olivia offered her tissues. Sherry waved her off.“I’m fine. We can’t waste food… Julian, eat this!”
Julian coldly glared at her. Olivia tried to stand to pay, but Sherry stopped her.“You can’t leave any either.”
