«Live with a system) Chapter 1
Riley Davis got a system on her 17th birthday. The system said that if she cut ties with three she’d be recommended for admission to Harvard. She agreed.

As for the three guys, one was her 27–year–old brother, Ethan Davis, who’d given their parents‘ inheritance to some girl named Chloe.
Another was her childhood friend, Mark Olsen, who’d pushed her into the pool at the sports meeting only because she said, “Why should I lose to Chloe?“.
The last one was her fiancé, Chase Walker. He was the mastermind who cased her to be locked in the equipment shed.
They used to be the most important people in her life, but then they ripped her to shreds for Chloe. So, she didn’t need them anymore.
The equipment shed was pitch black. Riley cried as she accepted the system’s mission. The system’s low, gravelly voice echoed in her ears.“My dear host, it’s okay. I’ve got your back.”
As soon as it finished, the door clicked open.
Darkness gave way to moonlight, bright enough to illuminate Riley’s whole world…
The next morning, Riley went to school as usual. At the entrance, she ran into Chase and Chloe. Chase carried Chloe’s bag and opened the car door for her. The strikingly handsome boy and the sweet–as–pie girl made a picture–perfect couple.
Upon seeing Riley, Chase’s expression changed. He looked down at her with disdain, his tone sarcastic and cruel.
“Well, it must be hard being locked in the equipment room, right?”
Seeing Chase always made Riley’s heart race. Before, it was affection; now, it was fear and sadness. She and Chase were betrothed since childhood.
Chase had a terrible temper, but he used to be really nice to her. He’d call her “Riley–bug” with a frown while fixing all her problems.
It all came to an end when Chloe transferred to their school.
Everything changed. At first, Chase would ignore Chloe. Then, Chloe kept on courting him and finally made him fall for her. He was her dog, her slave.
At the sports meeting a month after Chloe’s transfer, she twisted her ankle, and Chase picked her
like a knight in front of everyone.

A week later, Chase showed up at Riley’s place. Riley, expecting a ride, froze at his grim face.
He questioned her as if she were a criminal.“You’re the one who told them to ostracize Chloe?”
Riley stammered, “I didn’t…”
Chase cut her off.“Okay, you really wanna play this game? We’ll see.”
After that, waterlogged homework and bugs in drawers and backpacks had become a daily occurrence for Riley.
Riley stared at Chase, silent. This boy had used a rose as his profile picture for three years only because she liked roses. He’d sit through awful movies with her, even though he hated them. He’d be there for her when she was sick…

Chase scoffed.“She should’ve thought about the consequences when she bullied you.”
Riley bit her lip, holding back tears.
The system suddenly spoke, “Host, Mission One: Ignore them and walk head held high.”
