Riley’s heart pounded. She took a deep breath. Alex’s flight landed at 5 pm. It was really sudden. She replied, “Received.”
She regretted it immediately.

“You’re leaving early?” Evelyn was surprised when she saw Riley change clothes. Riley mumbled, “Yeah, something came up.
I’ll tell later.”

Evelyn, known for her curiosity, wouldn’t let her off easily.
“Oh?” Evelyn raised an eyebrow.“Deal.”
Riley just smiled.
At the airport, Gate 3. Alex Reed, a Hollywood A–lister, had a large entourage. He was so popular that the crowd was massive.
Alex wore casual clothes, but still looked stylish. He didn’t wear sunglasses. Instead, he was wearing a mask and hat, revealing his clear eyes. He seemed calm.
The fans were polite; the security were keeping order. They knew Alex’s style. He would not appear in public except when necessary
Riley stayed a few meters away, dressed simply. Alex spotted her immediately. He greeted fans, his eyes always on her. Riley followed him, holding a Coke. She bought it while he was surrounded.
Alex felt a sense of reassurance. Even before Riley became his assistant, this was common. She was never a social butterfly. Only a few people knew she was his assistant. Even his fans were
unaware.
Riley acted like she was one of the fans. She watched Alex surrounded by them, remembering a song.
“I don’t care who you are, where you’re from…”
“Don’t care what you did, as long as you love me…”
She often hummed it.
Riley sent Alex her license plate number. Alex said goodbye to the fans and got into her car. Riley waited; Alex got in ten minutes later. He removed his hat and mask. His face was strikingly handsome: thick eyebrows, dark eyes, a sharp nose, thin lips- every feature was perfect.
“You…”
“You…”
They spoke simultaneously, then shut up.
