Summer arrived; Riley and Evelyn became busier. Alex took part in a new movie called The Misty Storm.
After the gala, Evelyn knew about Riley and Alex and interrogated her. Evelyn pointed to a headline: Top Actress Chloe and Best Actor Alex Reed Rumored to be Dating. There were photos of them together.
Riley knew Chloe was in that film, too. It must be because of Ethan. She said calmly,“Alex told

Evelyn was shocked.“You agreed?!”
Riley looked at Evelyn. “We
can’t ask them to change the lead actress.” Evelyn saw through her.“It must be hard for you. If she steps in, I’ll kill her.” Riley was speechless. She felt like history was repeating itself. Would Alex be drawn to Chloe, like those three men?
She had lost her system. This time, would she get through it?
Riley was surprised to find Alex outside her apartment.
She opened the door; Alex removed his mask.“About the photos…”
Riley cut him off, “Oh, those photos are nice.”

Riley continued to cook. After dinner, she checked her phone. The pictures were no longer in the headlines. But something else was trending: Dr. Riley Davis Is Involved with Chloe and Alex’s Relationship.
There were pictures of Riley and Alex together. Chloe’s fans attacked Riley like crazy. Riley saved the photo. Alex saw it and laughed.
He never expected their first photo together to be a paparazzi shot. Chloe was really audacious.
He saw Riley put down her phone and stand up.
“Riley,” Alex called her.
Riley turned, looking at him.
“Do you believe me? If I told you that I was seeing her, would you say that you knew about it and then give me a natural no?”
Riley was surprised he’d seen through her. Alex smirked.“I was sick, not stupid.”
He stood, approaching her. She was backed against the window. She stumbled and sat down.
Alex smiled, pulling her up, holding her hand. Riley blushed, feeling the heat rising in her cheeks. She maintained her composure.“You’re wrong.”
Then she paused, looking down, her voice softening.“I don’t have the right to ask you for anything.”
Alex laughed softly.“You do.”
