Chapter 111
“You do?” He asked, interest lingering behind his eyes
I nodded. “Yes. And she’s right here ton ”
His eyes widened. “Are you actually seriom?”
Inodded. The excitement coursing through him was pretty obvious. He looked like a kid that had just been offered a lifetime supply of chocolate. Hart held on to my hand, unable to hold back his excitement.
“I want to meet her right away. Where is she? When do I get to see her?
“Calm down “I chuckled. “You’ll get to see her soon enough,”
“Who are you guys talking about? Quentin asked.
I made a point of ignoring him, all my focus on Hart “You’ll have to do something though
“What’s that?” He asked curiously.
“Think of it as a promise of some sort. I’ll introduce you to her but you won’t keep in touch with Quentin for a while. Are you in?”
Hart thought on it for a while, looking a bit unsure. I held his hand and lead him to the window, hoping to spot Jane.
Luckily, she was out in the yard, focused on typing away at her laptop. A grin spread across my face as I pointed to her.
“There the is.” I smiled. “So what do you say?”
“Deal” He said without hesitation.
The look of excitement in his eyes was laughable. Before I could get another word in, he bolted out of the house.
Quentin simply stood there, a look of disbelief in his eyes as he stared at the door Hart had just gone through
I turned back to window and watched as Hart bumped into Jane. When she finally looked up at him, a look of annoyance washed over her face.
“Watch where you’re going.” She said a few curse words at him, eyeing him from head to toe. “You stupid cub. Why would you run around without even watching where you’re going?”
I began to speak to her through the mind link. Her eyes flicked up to me at the same time that Hart’s did. Then she understood the message. A look of displeasure washed over her face before she turned to Hart
me of age, you can wait for r the moon god to reward you with a mate as serious as an elder?” She huffed

I turned to Quentin who had silently been watching the exchange. There you have it. You’re not getting anything out of me.”
To his credit, he didn’t look mad about the provocative look I had on. I was about to say something when he inched closer, crossing the distance
between us
I stood my ground, trying not to seem moved by his actions. He hooked a finger around some strands of my hair. He leaned closer until our lips were just inches away. I could barely focus on anything else with how hard my heart was beating.
“Now forget about any unpleasant feelings that bastard prince brought you.” He said,
I was at a loss for words to even say. Just then, Jane butted into the room about to enter into a rant when she saw me and Quentin
“Hey!” She yelled. “Get away from my–Miss Thea.”
The silence in the room was deafening. For a moment, all I could do was stare from Quentin to Jane. Jane entered into the room, her eyes examining

the situation that had been playing out.
Quentin glanced at me once more. “This talk byt over.
Without another word, he left the room, slamming the door slut behind him. A breath I didn’t know I’d been holding left my lips.
Jane had a knowing look in her eyes as she looked me from head to toe. “So what the hell was going on?”
“Nothing “I shot hack, about to head straight for my bed.
Jane didn’t look like she believed a single word I was saying. She inched closer to my ear until she was just a small distance away.
“Haelor’s better.“
“No.” I pushed her away. “No, no, no. I will not be having
Jane folded her arms. “But you know I’m right.”
this conversation.”
I’m not talking about this.” I said again, sending her a scathing look.
Jane didn’t look the slightest bit bothered by this, even going as far as to follow me all the way to my bed.
“Marlor is the best man for the job Undisputedly so.” Jane said. –
It was funny how excited she sounded despite having no affiliations with him. One look at her energetic face and I couldn’t help but compare her to
Hart
They were a perfect match for each other. Then a thought popped into my head. Jane was too excited at the prospect of shipping me and Haelor together that she didn’t notice the look on my face.
“Is there a reason you came here?” I asked.
“Huh?”
Jane paused for a moment, trying to rack her head and understand what I meant. Then her eyes widened.
“Oh, yes.” She slapped a hand on her forehead. “Can’t believe I almost forgot, Tima wants to go shopping with you.”
