Keith raised an eyebrow. “Oh really?”
I nodded. “It’s not every day you get to bag such a hunk like him.”

Keith seemed utterly confused and mildly annoyed as he watched me flirt with Quentin. I wasn’t done yet though.
“I still don’t know which she–wolf rejected such an excellent Alpha with the blessings of the Moon God himself.” I sighed, my arms still wrapped tightly around Quentin’s arm.
A crowd was starting to gather around us, each of them staring at us with inquisitive looks in their eyes. They were all watching, waiting for a reaction from me and to see what Quentin would do.

Keith jutted out his arm towards Julia. She looked around at the crowd that had formed, suddenly self–aware and shy.
There was a tender look in her eyes as she wrapped her hand around his. Keith seemed to be enjoying the attention he was getting by having her around his arm.
I inched closer to Quentin, noting how he seemed to be extremely focused on the micro interactions between the both of them.
It felt a bit odd seeing how moved he was by their actions and what they were doing. I had to find out the reason behind it.
If we were actually going to be partners in this, I needed to know if I could trust him and go fully in this.
“The reason you brought me here.”
Quentin’s head snapped to me. I went on with what I was saying. “You brought me here and asked me to be your business partner because you wanted to solve a problem.”
Quentin’s eyes glistened at my words. He seemed to have understood where all this was going. Without a word, he held on to my hand and lead us from the prying eyes of Keith and the model that clung to his
side.
Now out of earshot, I went on with what I’d been saying. “You never mentioned the fact that you’ve pursued other she–wolves in the pack. Why?”
When it seemed like he obviously wasn’t going to reply, I went on with what I was saying. “That aside, I’m willing to make a compromise.”
He raised an eyebrow at my words.
“Twice the financial assistance.” I said firmly. “I’ll help you solve whatever problem it is you might have had with this woman.”
Quentin didn’t look the slightest bit flustered at my words. I expected some kind of reaction from him. Anger, annoyance….maybe irritation. But he had a calm look on his face despite all my words.
