The sudden arrival of black SUVs caught everyone off guard.
The noisy schoolyard fell into an eerie silence.
The parents who’d been holding me down scattered like leaves in the wind, smoothing their
designer clothes and fixing their hair.
Ashley withdrew her stiletto from my cheek, her attention locked on the impressive convoy.
I pulled myself up quickly, drawing Emma close to my chest
The security detail moved with practiced precision as one of them opened the lead car’s door.
Magnus stepped out, the perfect image of Alpha power in his custom–tailored suit. His mere presence drew every eye in the yard.
The crowd buzzed with recognition.
“Is that really Steele Pack Alpha?”
“My God, look at him- even more impressive in person!”
“That suit must cost a fortune. No wonder she couldn’t resist him, though being a homewrecker is still disgusting.”
As whispers rippled through the crowd, Ashley floated towards Magnus with practiced elegance, sliding her arm through his. “Darling, what a lovely surprise,” she purred, all
traces of her earlier violence gone.
Magnus’s smile was camera–ready. “Heard there was trouble at school. Had to come support my family, didn’t I?”
Ashley played with his tie, batting her lashes. “So you’ll always be there for us?”

“Without question.” His voice carried across the yard. “You and Tyler are my world. Anyone
who hurts you answers to me.”
Ashley’s triumph radiated like sunlight. She’d never looked more confident.
The other parents couldn’t hide their envy.
“I can’t believe someone would dare try to break up such a perfect marriage.”
“That homewrecker’s about to learn her lesson. Get your phones ready – this’ll be good!”
Tyler burst through the crowd then, all designer clothes and angelic looks. “Dad!”
Magnus knelt, gathering him into a picture–perfect embrace.
“Hey champ. Mom tells me someone’s been causing trouble?”
Tyler’s innocent smile turned cruel, eyes narrowing.
“This stupid girl tried fighting back when I hit her.”
His voice filled with pride. “But I got her good with that wire trick!”
Magnus squeezed his cheeks approvingly. “That’s my warrior! Such spirit!”
“Remember, son – if anyone fights back, you hit harder. Don’t worry about consequences. Dad will handle everything. Understood?”
Tyler nodded eagerly. “Got it, Dad!”
“That’s my boy.”
Rising to his feet, Magnus’s expression hardened. “Now, where are these troublemakers?”
Ashley immediately pulled him through the crowd, pointing directly at us. Her voice rang
with victory: “There they are! That Alpha–stealing witch and her bastard!”
Magnus pushed aside the onlooking people and rushed straight to me.

He was totally shocked by the scene that froze in place.
Ashley’s act like a spoiled child, she explained, ‘I’m sorry, she was the one who provoked me first, saying that she could be Luna even as a whore. Me. I was doing it for the reputation of Steele Pack, so……‘
Her broken words reached my ears and I couldn’t believe that she was still falsely accusing
me even now.
Magnus was on the verge of losing his mind and couldn’t even listen to what she was saying.
I stepped forward, flashed my claws, slapped Magnus hard and asked, “I hear you can handle anything? Don’t you dare handle me.”
