The truth hit Ashley and the other parents like a physical blow. Horror spread across their
faces as they realized what they’d done.
Blair looked livid. He slowly got up and turned to his men. With a small gesture of his head, the men made their way to Ashley and surrounding parents..
“Hey!” Ashley yelled in protest as the men grabbed her, preventing her from moving.
One of them grabbed the stick they’d used to beat me up. Before anyone could react, they began beating the hell out of them.
“Magnus.” Ashley cried out, just as they hit her across the face again.
Magnus shoved Blair against the chest, a look of anger in his eyes. “Why do you want to hurt an innocent and kind girl like Ashley? Let’s just apologize to Thea and that’ll be
enough!”
“Innocent and kind?” One of the men stepped forward.
He had glasses on as he went through his computer. He handed it to Magnus who began. going through it. The farther down he went, the less his face became grin.
The man began to speak. “Ashley here used to be a prostitute. In university, when she saw that her grades weren’t even up to mediocre level, she bribed the president of the university in order to get her degree. That was what she used to get into Steele Pack.”
Magnus had a look of horror on his face. He was finding it hard to keep up with all the new information he was hearing. He turned to Ashley in disgust. It was hard to deny all the information he’d just heard and seen.
Ashley was shaking her head, as tears flowed freely down her cheeks. Unbelievable. It was hard believing all I was hearing. The man I once loved betrayed me because of a prostitute?

I coughed out some more blood. It felt like my lungs were on fire. Everything was starting to feel woozy and I was getting the bad feeling that I was going to pass out.
“We don’t have time for this. We have to get to a hospital for treatment.” Blair sighed, making his way back to me
Before I could even protest, he swooped me off the ground, carrying me bridal style. All my body hurt so bad, I wanted to cry.
“Wait.” Magnus protested, trying to stop Blair.
The man with glasses held a hand to stop Magnus. “If I were you, I will immediately ask the police to take control of the people who hurt Thea and deal with them severely. In the meantime, I suggest that you investigate as soon as possible who instructed this stupid woman to do what she did today, so that you may be able to alleviate the anger of Thea’s
brothers.”
Without another word, we left the academy with the men leading me to the helicopter. I got a final glimpse of Magnus’s defeated face. I found myself unable to say anything as they shut the door and made sure I was strapped in.
I pondered on what the man with glasses had said. Ashley couldn’t have planned all this herself. There was someone else in the game.

My head was spinning as I tried to make sense of everything that was happening. My daughter fell asleep in Blair’s arms. He cleaned my daughter’s wound briefly.

“He had just turned on the live streaming software at the hospital and was about to give a general medical science talk, but your live stream appeared on the home page, and we surmised your location based on the buildings around you.”
Emma exclaimed in surprise, “Blair, you’re really smart. Uncle Bill is stupid, he’s slow.”
Bill is my lawyer and he was just late because of the traffic jam.

to say was replaced by another groan of pain. Blair’s face tightened as he realized how much pain I was in.
“You don’t need to say anything more, princess. Let’s focus on getting you some medical
attention first.”
All I could do was nod my head in reply. I closed my head, trying to focus on anything but the excruciating pain I was going through.
Blair was patiently coaxing Emma. As much as my whole body hurt, I feel safe.
Eventually, we reached the hospital. As soon as the helicopter landed, Blair took me in his arms and hurried into the hospital.

The bodyguards followed swiftly after him, their footsteps clanking against the tiled floor of the hospital.
“This is the royal hospital. They offer the best treatment here. Rest assured you’ll be fine, Thea.” Blair explained, still carrying me in his arms as we reached the entrance.
All I could do was muster a small nod. The pain was so much that I was barely even able to think straight.Just now, in front of those greedy dog–like parents and Ashley, I had to be strong because I had to protect Emma. but now, in front of my family and friends, I just
wanted this pain to end.
Standing close to the entrance was a tall man. I watched as he quickly walked up to us, his face filled with what looked like concern.
“Thea.” He breathed out.
“Forgive me for my useless. I wasn’t there first to protect you and Emma.”
He grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. A simple gesture.
I felt my heart skip a beat. This is my fifth elder brother, Olavir. He had dark hair and brown eyes that looked so warm and welcoming. Even though he couldn’t came here firstly, I knew he was someone that would protect me.
His face became stern as he turned to Blair. “We need to get her to the doctor now.”
Blair nodded his head. Just as we were about to enter the hospital, we were stopped by some nurses. They were in our way, preventing us from entering. There were more than
