I dropped to my knees, unable to stop clutching my chest. It felt like I had been shot right at the churst with a silvey better.

The first thing I expected to see when I woke up was Troy’s face staring at me with worry I did not expect to see that of a rugal

Trying to get my eyes open felt like fighting back against an unknown force. It felt like someone but plant sudhags say yes,

With great difficulty, I finally managed to do just that. As soon as Askhan noticed I was awake, a look of relied wacked over.

“You collapsed. Some people brought you here.” Askhan explained, his gaze remaining on me as he watched me carefully.
While I nursed the headache that racked my head, I couldn’t help to think back to Troy and how worried he must have been.
“I’m just glad you’re fine.” Askhan let out another breath of relief
“Come on, Askhan.” I laughed.
“No.” He shook his head. “You have no idea how worried I was.”
You’ve been here all this time?” I asked with an amused tone.
He turned his head to the side, his cheeks suddenly blooming. “What do you think?
I couldn’t help the laugh that left my lips. “You’re the prince, Askhan. You can’t just leave your duties at the palace to stay by my side Won’t you get in trouble?”
“That’s not important.” He interjected. “What matters right now is your health and how you’re feeling”
I couldn’t help the warm feeling that bloomed in my chest. He had been so worried about me that he refused to even budge from my
side for the smallest second.
“Thank you.” I beamed, unable to hold back the smile that tugged at my lips.
He nodded his head, a serious look washing over his face. “Is there something you’re not telling m?”
I hit my lip, contemplating if I wanted to open up to him. On one hand, it would feel good to finally open up and relieve myself of the weight that laid heavy on my chest.
Then again, I couldn’t burden anybody with what I was going through. It would be better if I went through it by myself, without worrying anybody or making them concern.

The look of concern on his face was still there. “Don’t lie to me, Then. Is something bothering you?”
I shook my head, furcing a small stable on my face. Tim fine, Askhan. Believe me. If there was something wrong, I’d tell you straight
away.
He didn’t look like he was all that convinced but slowly nodded his head. Letting out a breath, he sank back into his chair, his eyes never leaving mine for fear that if he looked away, I might just disappear.
The smile remained on my face but deep down, my heart remained hitter. None of them could know that I couldn’t turn.
It would only worry them and they’d be running up and down to look for a solution. They had their lives to live, I couldn’t just jump in and burden them with my problems.
We continued to talk about random things such as the interview that had passed and the party. A knock on the door broke the conversation.
The door slowly slid open and two men walked in. They were both watching me carefully as they shut the door.
“Glad to see she’s fine.” One of them nodded his head.
“Noah, Kylan. Nice that you finally made it.” Askhan sent them a nod which they returned.
Noah and Kylan. They were my third and fourth brother respectively. For their part, they didn’t really say much despite being in the
room.
There was an air of maturity surrounding them as they moved closer to the bed.
“How do you feel now, Thea?” The one Askhan had referred to as Noah asked.
I nodded. “Good for now.”
Lovely to hear that. The other one, Kylan, smiled
“Lovely to meet you, Thea.” Kylan said with a smile on her face.
They were very important Alpha dukes at the werewolf palace. I sent them a smile and returned their greeting
“I’m happy to finally meet you two.” I smiled.
They proceeded to ask about my health and how I’d been all this time, apologizing for not coming to see me sooner.
Throughout everything. Noah watched me carefully. It was hard not to squirm under the intensity of his gaze.
“Is there anything you want to say, Thea? Something that’s been on your mind?” He asked.
