Chapter 73
The tech team was still very much in action. They were still on standby for now, waiting for whatever order I would give. I’d established it before I got married to Magnus.
Now that all was said and done, I could go back to being their boss just like old times. Quentin and Askhan know that I raised some tech–savvy werewolves but they don’t know that I took the Scary
Ghosts Pack.
And the best part…I was the Alpha behind it all. The leader in the shadows.
Life after marriage had forced me to disband the pack, with Magnus being so insistent that I remain dependent on him and other things. In the end, I had to put it all aside.
Now, I was ready to call the team back and Jane was just the starting point. The rest of the pack were people of action who wouldn’t hesitate to villainize Quentin hard.
I turned back to the TV, watching Quentin’s figure with anger boiling deep in me. “You love making money, don’t you? And you wanted to use me as some pawn in your game. I’m going to bring your group’s stock prices to the floor.”
I stepped closer to the TV. By the time I was done with Quentin, he would regret ever daring to cross
- me.
There were a lot of places I could get ideas on how to carry out my revenge. For one, my pack was always ready to be brainstorm pits for whatever despicable plan needed implementing.
Aside that, there was also the occasional true crime series. My gaze scoured through the blog I’d been reading, a notable hum leaving my lips.
“Damn it, don’t ever let me find evidence! Or you’re fucked Quentin! “I nodded my head thoughtfully.
Tossing the phone to the side, my mind wandered to Quentin, he always emphasizes “profit above all else“, but then he throws away a partnership that could make him a fortune because I’m in danger.
Just when I thought he might have feelings for me that went beyond friendship, he tried to make it easier for him to continue making money through my hype!

At that thought, I rubbed my empty chest and cursed in a whisper to the moon goddess, “Damn it, even if I die alone, I won’t forge a bond with you!”
I try to contact Jane, everyone has been quiet and dormant for too long, it’s time to come out and refresh everyone in the pack’s memory of what we can do. They’d all been a tad bit too dormant for
a while now. It was time to set things in motion.
Just as I reached for my phone again, there was a soft knock on the door.
“My princess,” a female voice said. “Your brother is here?”
My eyes widened, the phone already leaving my mind as I made my way to the door. I already had a
hunch of who it was.
The hunch turned out being right when I spotted Olavir standing at the bottom of the flight of stairs.
“There’s my sis.” He had a small grin on his face as he opened his arms.
I rolled my eyes before throwing myself into his arms. It had been so long since I got to hug him. This was something I definitely missed.
He eventually pulled away. “I brought something for you.‘

My gaze went to the glass bottle filled with a clear looking liquid in it. His gaze followed mine to the
bottle.
“This should be the cure we’ve been trying so hard to get.” He explained.
I stared at it for a while. “You sure this would work?”
“Well,” he shrugged. “We have to at least hold on to any faith we still have. And this here, is exactly
that.”
I nodded, unable to tear my gaze from the bottle quite yet, He clapped his hand a little before going
- on.
“In other news, would you like to know what happened to Magnus and Ashley?” he asked,
There was a look of concern in his eyes as he waited for an answer. I shrugged nonchalantly, not wanting to seem like I was at all bothered about any news relating to Magnus.

“They were banished to the Dark Forest,” Olavir cringed. “Nasty place really,”
The Dark Forest was home to ores and vampires, where they roamed free and in a lawless state. It was the worst place anyone could get sent to,
“They put the bastard in a juvenile werewolf prison. No escape for him there.” Olavir went on.
For a while, I simply stood there without saying anything. At the end of the day, this was how he’d ended up.
Where did I go wrong with him? He could have chosen to live with me, but instead he chose betrayal and is now reduced to wandering the dark forest……
I internally shook my head, trying to push away any self–blaming thoughts. None of this had been my fault. I’d obviously given Magnus way more credit than he deserved. He didn’t deserve me.
“Thea,” Olavir’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
There was a worried look on his face as he watched me. “Are you okay?”
I nodded. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
He watched me cautiously for a while before going on. “I need to make some preparations before we can start the process.”
“Here,” He handed me the potion. “Do not drink the potion just yet, alright?”
“Understood.” I nodded.
He bade me farewell before disappearing past a corner. My gaze remained on the clear liquid nestled in the bottle. The cure to my problem was right in my hands.
Not wanting to wait a second longer, I raised the bottle to the edge of my lips ….
