chapter12.
Nathaniel put on a stony look, thinking, “Look, she was playing innocent. She is playing hard to get like those women who want to get close to me.”
The door opened a crack, but Stella didn’t come out. She just stretched out a hand and pushed out an agreement.
“My hair wetted your coat. I’ll wash it and return it to you
tomorrow.
“And I washed the clothes you left on the couch with the washing machine. It should have been done. You can dry them yourself. By the way, if you have any unspeakable secret, I can introduce some doctors I knew when I planned events for the hospital.”
Nathaniel paused for a moment, wondering what she meant by saying any unspeakable secret.
He was about to ask, but Stella had closed her door.
“Forget it. Do I have to explain to her what the unspeakable secret is?” He thought.
Nathaniel walked to the laundry room on the balcony, opened the washing machine, and found clothes Carlos had bought to make a mess.

Nathaniel took out his clothes in displeasure and wanted to throw them away, but a pair of underwear fell out.

He picked it up. The underwear was just unfolded, and he could tell the size.
It was very small, which was for a junior high school boy.
Nathaniel finally understood what the unspeakable secret was.
“Stupid Carlos!” He scolded inwardly.
Nathaniel was so angry that he threw all the clothes into the trash can. He happened to pass by the guest bathroom when he went back to the room.
Just now, Stella said that the shower in the guest bathroom was broken, but he always felt that she was just making excuses.
Nathaniel entered the guest bathroom for no reason, turned on the shower faucet, and found no water running.
He gave an inspection and found that there was a problem with the water pipe. Such a problem couldn’t be man–made, so Stella didn’t lie to him.
Nathaniel couldn’t help but think about how much of Stella’s words were true.
At six o’clock, the alarm clock rang and woke Stella up. She got out of bed and did a few stretching exercises, then quickly packed up and went to the kitchen quietly.

Now, she just wanted to make herself invisible and try to avoid meeting Nathaniel.
They were roommates. Meeting less meant having fewer conflicts.
Stella had the habit of bringing lunch. She habitually opened the refrigerator and was stunned for a while, looking at the refrigerator with only a few eggs and half a bag of toast.
“Nathaniel is indeed not common. He can survive just by eating these,” Stella thought.
She couldn’t bring lunch today and could only make a simple fried egg sandwich.
Just as she took a bite, Nathaniel’s handsome face popped into her mind.
Without thinking much, she prepared a breakfast for him.
Stella thought since she had taken Jennifer’s money, she should prepare a meal for him.
