chapter20.
“Mr. Beaumont?” Stella knocked on the door again.
“Yeah.”
Nathaniel responded and got up, walking out of the study.
He saw the bag of medicine on the dining table and reached for it, ready to take it, but Stella suddenly stopped him.
“Mr. Beaumont, have you eaten?” She asked.
“No,” Nathaniel replied nonchalantly.
“You can’t take medicine without eating first. Just wait for me,” she said.
Stella took the medicine from Nathaniel’s hand and placed it on the table. Then, she turned around and entered the kitchen.
Nathaniel stood there stunned. The last woman who cared if he ate something before taking pills was his mother.
He thought to himself, “Stella doesn’t think that chatting with me at the tech exhibition gives her the right to interfere in my life, does she?”
After a while, Stella walked out of the kitchen with two plates of spaghetti.

Stella didn’t bother asking him why he was unhappy and simply placed the plate and fork in front of him.
“Go ahead and eat. You can’t take medicine without eating, anything,” she said.
Nathaniel scrutinized her with sharp eyes as if trying to see through her.
Stella felt a chill run down her spine. She thought to herself, “Did I do anything to upset him?
Was it my tone?”
“Well… go ahead and eat. Otherwise, the spaghetti won’t taste good,” she said.
After some consideration, Nathaniel picked up the fork and lowered his head. Before he started eating, he said in a low voice, “Thank you.”
His voice was very magnetic, and now, with the hoarseness, it was filled with mature masculine charm. Although it was just a courteous thank you, Stella still found his voice very pleasant.
Trying to hide her feelings, she lowered her head and said,
“You’re welcome.”
Due to his sudden cold, Nathaniel had no appetite all day. So, he

didn’t have high expectations for the spaghetti in front of him, especially since he never ate spaghetti.
But after taking a bite, he unexpectedly found it quite delicious.
He thought, “I didn’t expect Stella, a materialistic woman, to have decent cooking skills.”
After finishing the spaghetti, Stella collected the tableware and took them to the kitchen. She then poured a glass of water for Nathaniel.
“Take the pills first, and then take a sip of the cough syrup before bed. Don’t drink water within half an hour, or the cough. syrup won’t be effective. With the medicine, you’ll sleep more comfortably tonight,” she instructed.
“Okay.”
Nathaniel looked at the pill and warm water in front of him, feeling somewhat strange.
As he drank the water, he deliberately glanced at Stella. Her fair face wore a serene smile, which made him feel peaceful.
Stella added, “Mr. Beaumont, after taking the medicine, you should go to bed early. No matter how important your work is, it is not as important as your body.”
After saying that, Stella realized she might have been too

She quickly changed the topic, saying, “I’ll go wash the dishes.”
Then, she disappeared into the kitchen.
Nathaniel took the medicine and walked to the kitchen door, watching Stella working busily with a thoughtful expression.
After washing the dishes, Stella came out with a towel to wipe the table and found that Nathaniel had already cleaned it. The tissues that she had left scattered were neatly stacked in the corner of the table.
Stella praised Nathaniel in her heart.
Although Nathaniel was cold and even somewhat distant towards her, his manners and etiquette were impeccable.
Nathaniel’s behavior made Stella less self–conscious, and they even exchanged some useless words from time to time.
Stella thought, “When Jack came to my house for dinner, he left. used tissues on the table and waited for someone else to clean up, although it was just a small thing that he could have done casily.”
Thinking of Jack, Stella shook her head, feeling a bit annoyed.
She went to her room to get her clothes ready for a shower but realized she had forgotten to remind Nathaniel to fix the showerhead.
“I must remember to tell him tomorrow,” she thought.

Stella had no hot water for washing, her hair or taking a shower.
The next morning, Stella woke up and made breakfast. She thought of Nathaniel being sick and decided to make the oatmeal she had bought.
She thought to herself, “I can’t let Jennifer know that Nathaniel got sick under my care, right?
Now, the fridge is empty again.
No, I have to go buy groceries after work today.
I want to cal something nutritious! I want to eat meat!”
With these thoughts in mind, Stella happily walked out of the kitchen, carrying a big bowl of oatmeal.
She was so clated that she didn’t notice there was someone standing opposite her. And that person saw her joyful expression.
Stella’s swaying head froze instantly. She looked at Nathaniel awkwardly, but her heart skipped a beat because Nathaniel looked incredibly handsome.
It was the first time Stella had seen Nathaniel dressed so formally. The all–black suit accentuated his figure. Standing in the morning sunlight, he looked like a noble prince.
Besides Nathaniel’s charm, Stella couldn’t help but admire his

physique. He was sickly just yesterday, but today, he looked radiant.
“Good morning, Mr. Beaumont,” Stella straightened her head and smiled awkwardly.
“Okay.”
Nathaniel glanced at the bowl of oatmeal in her hand.
Stella smiled and put down the bowl, saying, “Mr. Beaumont, you’ve just recovered from your illness and need to have some breakfast. I prepared your breakfast, but I didn’t know when you’d wake up, so I didn’t bring it out. Please wait a moment.”
Stella’s smile was beautiful, and Nathaniel couldn’t help but stop in his tracks.
A few seconds later, Nathaniel realized he had actually been distracted by a woman.
Soon, Stella brought out a bowl of oatmeal.
“Be careful. It’s hot,” she naturally reminded him.
“Okay.”
Nathaniel took a bite, and his stomach instantly felt much better. It made him feel somewhat strange.
He thought about how he was living with a woman he had only met once and was already married to, yet they could calmly have

While they were eating, Stella glanced at Nathaniel and hesitated before saying.

“Mr. Beaumont, the fridge is empty, and we’re running out of seasonings. We only have one pot, too, so I think we should go buy some.”
After all, this was Nathaniel’s home, and Stella felt that she should inform him before bringing something back.
Only then did Nathaniel realize that he had only moved here a week ago, and he really didn’t know what the house was lacking.
With that in mind, he took out a rarely used card from his wallet and handed it to her.
“What’s this?” Stella asked, puzzled.
