chapter27.
Just as Stella was looking at the photos, Makayla’s phone rang.
“Isaac?” Makayla asked.
And then, Isaac’s voice echoed at the office door.
“Makayla, are you okay?”
Stella silently put down the phone.
Instead, it was the previously quiet Sandra who, as if seeing hope, quickly walked towards Makayla.
“Mr. Griffin, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time…”
In public, Isaac avoided Sandra and went straight to Makayla. He checked her over from head to toe before he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Isaac said, “You scared me! You must be careful in the future.”
“Ms. Edwards, thank you. Regarding the email matter, our company has already issued a statement proving our innocence.”
Stella sighed, I heard.
She said, “You’re welcome. I should also thank you. You and

Mrs. Griffin should go back and rest.”
“Alright.” Isaac nodded gratefully,

Makayla waved at Stella, “Goodbye.”
Stella nodded, saying, “Okay.”
After saying goodbye, Isaac pushed Makayla towards the door.
This matter could have been settled, the outcome would have been good for everyone, but Sandra refused to let it go.
She looked at Isaac with red eyes, whispering, “Isaac…”
Isaac shrank his neck in fear, worried that Makayla would be angry, and quickened his pace.
Makayla paused her wheelchair, glanced at the designer bag on Sandra’s seat, and deliberately said aloud, “This bag looks nice.”
Isaac frowned. “You actually think this bag looks good? I can’t stand it. I’ll take you shopping tomorrow.”
Stella, holding back a laugh, saw Isaac and Makayla off, casually pushing the obstructing Sandra out of the way.
“Sandra, make some room.”
Sandra’s expression was twisted in anger.
After seeing off Isaac and Makayla, Harley glanced at Stella,

decided not to mention the thorough investigation of the emails, and instead declared the matter closed.
“This matter ends here. If anyone discusses this matter again, I will notify the Human Resources Department.”
Stella remained silent, not at all surprised by this outcome.
She was powerless and insignificant, Harley could not possibly offend Sandra for her sake.
After Harley left, Stella’s colleagues came to talk to her.
“Stella, I’m sorry. We didn’t do it on purpose.”
“I said Stella is the most honest person in our office, she couldn’t possibly do such a thing.”
“Stella, you’ve helped Makayla. Don’t forget about us, your colleagues, if Makayla ever offers to help you in the future.”
Stella’s colleagues began to apologize to her, even though they were the ones who had just tried to disassociate themselves from her.
Stella laughed, not wanting to say much. Her colleagues had always been opportunistic, and she was used to it.
Sandra saw everyone pleasing Stella and walked over angrily.
Sandra said, “Stella, don’t be too smug. Harley doesn’t seem to believe Makayla’s words. Makayla just had a baby and she’s

coming to help Isaac, this must have a big impact on Isaac. She had no choice but to help you.”
Sandra started lying again in this situation.
Stella ignored Sandra’s mockery, sizing her up and down.
Sandra felt a bit flustered. “Why are you looking at me?”
Sandra wanted to continue speaking, but Stella directly interrupted her.
“It seems like Isaac isn’t very familiar with you. Why would he give you a bag that he doesn’t like? Was he hinting at something just now?”
The meaning of Stella is that Isaac might be implying that he doesn’t like Sandra.
Some of Sandra’s colleagues couldn’t help but snicker, much to her annoyance.
Sandra couldn’t defend herself, angrily saying, “Stella, this isn’t over. Don’t be so smug.”
“You too.”
Stella no longer paid attention to Sandra, she lowered her head to look at her phone.
She looked at her wedding photo with Nathaniel on her phone, thinking about Nathaniel’s handsome face.

Stella hesitated whether to call Nathaniel to ask if he was the one who helped her.
