chapter32.
“A hundred thousand dollars? It’s only ten dollars. You’re tricking her into marriage! It’s a good thing Stella didn’t agree to
you.”
“I don’t know.” Ella began to play dumb.
“Did you sell the house for a hundred thousand dollars or just ten dollars, you don’t know? Then I better call the police for you. You must have been scammed.”
Stella pretended to be nervous as she pulled out her phone.
The onlookers began to whisper amongst themselves.
Ella was scared, she snatched the bank card from Stella’s hand and took two steps back, revealing a shrewd expression.
“Stella! It’s your honor that I came to find you! Don’t push your luck!”
“Everyone, look clearly at Stella. Her mother is seriously ill
and she wants to deceive us for our money. If we don’t give her money, she will call off the wedding! It’s pitiful that my son loves. her so much.”
Everyone at work knew that Stella’s mother was sick. After
hearing Ella’s words, the way they looked at Stella changed.

Sandra said, “Stella, marriage symbolizes love, not a bargaining chip for money. It’s pitiful that your mother is sick, but it’s not Jack’s responsibility to pay for her treatment. How could you call off the wedding because of this? How is this fair to Jack after his three years of commitment?”
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Ella, seeing someone helping her, her expression became very arrogant.
Stella endured the gaze of everyone around her. She had done nothing, yet at this moment, she was judged guilty by those who had nothing to do with her.
She never compromises!
Stella clenched her fists and walked up to Ella.
“Ella, it’s true that my mother is seriously ill, and I did ask Jack for a loan. But Jack claimed he had no money, yet he immediately bought a car worth over thirty thousand dollars. I have all these conversations recorded, do I need to show them to everyone for appreciation?”
“Indeed, Jack did propose, and I accepted. But as soon as you heard about my mother’s serious illness, you stopped discussing the wedding. Without a wedding date or engagement, how can I be considered as breaking off the engagement?”
“Jack also said that after my mom dies, he would sell the house my mom left me to buy you a bigger one. Do you think I should

break up with him?”

“Stella! Don’t talk to me like this! You’ve wasted three years of my son’s time, constantly spending his money. And now you want to break up? Impossible. You two must get married!”
Stella was trembling with anger. She had never seen such a shameless and despicable person.
But she knew very well that Jack and Ella wouldn’t let it go. If they continued to make a fuss, it would affect Stella’s work.
Stella said bluntly, “I’m married.”
Ella snorted, “What? You want to deceive again? With your sick mother, who else would dare to want you, apart from my son?”
“This is the wedding ring,” Stella took out the forgotten wedding ring from her bag, word by word, “Please, you and Jack stop. disturbing my life.”
“Are you… really married?” Ella asked in surprise, looking at her ring.

“Stella, I urge you, marriage is not child’s play. Don’t just marry someone to spite Jack, after all, not everyone is as outstanding as Jack.”
Facing Ella’s confidence, Stella couldn’t help but think of Nathaniel.
Both men, Nathaniel is calm, while Jack becomes complacent with slight achievements. The gap between them is vast.
Stella laughed, “I assure you, my husband is definitely better than Jack. I suggest you keep a closer eye on your son, if he can’t afford a real watch, he shouldn’t deceive others. If you dare to cause trouble at my company again, I can’t guarantee what I might say.”
“You…”
Ella instantly understood what Stella was talking about. She was worried that others would find out about Jack giving fake watches at the golf club, so she grabbed her bag and was ready to leave.
Before leaving, Ella said, “You will definitely regret this.”
“Indeed. I regret not seeing his true character sooner.”
Stella retorted.
Ella was very angry, she could only leave awkwardly.

“Stella, show me a picture of your husband.”
Sandra stared at Stella’s phone, reaching out to snatch it.
