My Flash Marriage Billionaire Husband
1/6
chapter50.
Returning to the dining table, Stella first set aside a portion of the packed food.
Nathaniel is a detail–oriented person, he probably wouldn’t want to eat someone else’s leftovers.
Stella sat down to cat. As she ate, she worked on her plans, afraid to waste any time.
Harley’s favoritism towards Sandra made her realize that she must work even harder to win this competition.
After dinner, Stella got up and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. Today, Nathaniel had bought the food, so it was only right that she washed the dishes.
She couldn’t take advantage and do nothing.
Returning to the table, she wiped her hands and continued her work.
As time passed, Stella yawned several times, feeling so tired that her eyes hurt from looking at the computer.
She rubbed her eyes, planning to rest her head on the desk for ten minutes to relieve her fatigue, but she accidentally fell asleep.

In the study, Nathaniel pinched the bridge of his nose, closing the latest research and development report from the Beaumont Group. The report was terribly disappointing.
The Beaumont Group, though still seemingly splendid on the surface, was in fact poorly managed.
However, Nathaniel was not in a hurry, the game had just begun.
He put down the report, picked up the water cup and put it to his mouth only to realize it was empty.
He rose and left the study, only to find the light still on at the dining table. Stella was lying motionless on the table, surrounded by papers.
Nathaniel unconsciously tiptoed to the table to pour water, not intending to wake Stella.
But he inadvertently caught a glimpse of the company name on the computer, Dalla Technology Group.
Stella was surprisingly staying up late to work on the planning for his company.
This piqued Nathaniel’s curiosity. Previously, when he had a chance encounter with Stella at a technology exhibition, she had said so many beautiful words to him, he didn’t know if she was doing it on purpose.
Thinking, he glanced at the plan on Stella’s computer. After all,

the plan would end up in his hands in a couple of days, he would see it sooner or later.
Nathaniel slid the mouse, looking at each slide, and couldn’t help but feel surprised.
He even had the feeling that someone finally understood what
he wanted.
Nathaniel suddenly looked at Stella. A cluster of hair fell on the tip of her nose, swaying with her breath. Her rosy cheeks bore the imprint of the pillow, losing some of her usual maturity, but gaining a bit more intrigue.
He unconsciously reached out to brush her hair aside. Just as his hand was about to touch her, a dialog box popped up on the computer screen. He suddenly came back to his senses and withdrew his hand.
He raised his hand to rub his brow, feeling that he must be tired to have made such an inappropriate move.
As he turned around, Nathaniel saw Jack’s name in the dialogue
box.
He is Stella’s ex–boyfriend.
“Stella, are you still busy? Why aren’t you replying to my messages?”
“Stella, you must bring your husband out tomorrow to make Jack jealous!”

Nathaniel’s face darkened, the white light from the screen reflecting in his eyes, making him look exceptionally cold,
A few seconds later, he poured a glass of water and returned to the room, as if he had seen nothing,
Christina, who didn’t receive a reply, continued to send messages fervently.
Stella was jolted awake by the sound of a notification. It took her a good ten seconds to make out the message on the screen. She stretched languidly before replying to Christina.
“Why haven’t you gone to sleep yet?”
“Stella, I’ve been watching the chat messages in the building group. They’ve all started placing bets, saying you definitely wouldn’t dare to bring your husband to embarrass yourself.”
“Ignore them, they are just bored.”
“Stella! I’m worried for you! If the boss finds out, you’re definitely in trouble, wouldn’t that just give Sandra an advantage?”
Stella held her face in her hands, looking troubled.
She was torn, on one hand was her own promotion, on the other was Nathaniel’s job.
After much thought, her mind became even more confused.

“Say it again.”

“Stella, if your husband can’t even protect you, then what’s the use of having such a useless man?”
“Christina!” Stella looked at Christina’s words in surprise.
“It’s just not fair, why are all of Sandra’s suitors tall, rich, and handsome? Why are we always stuck with these ugly guys? Are you really willing to let Sandra outshine you in everything?”
“Christina, my husband is not a useless man. And is your insistence on me bringing my husband over really to help me?”
Stella thought: Or do you want to gossip and thwart Sandra?
“Stella, I mean no harm. I just can’t stand Sandra’s arrogant demeanor.”
“It’s too late, go to bed early.”
Stella didn’t want to continue this topic, she just assumed Christina was speaking nonsense out of anxiety.
After logging off, she glanced at the study and let out a slight sigh, then turned around to pick up the food on the table and put it in the fridge.
Stella plans to take it to the company to eat tomorrow, otherwise it would be a waste to throw it away.
