Harley didn’t even give Stella a chance to explain, he just jumped to conclusions.
Sandra had just left the office, and Stella speculated that she must have said something to Harley.
“Are you not leaving yet? Do you need me to open the door for you?” Harley said impatiently.
“If it’s because of this matter, I won’t accept it.”
“What did you say?” Harley looked at Stella in surprise.

“My ex–boyfriend coming here was not my intention at all. On the contrary, it was Sandra who persuaded him to come. If I need to withdraw from the competition, then Sandra, who has been stirring up public opinion in the entire building, should also withdraw.”
“Do… do you have any proof?” Harley said angrily.
“I do.”
Sandra probably didn’t expect that Stella had already taken screenshots of the conversations in the building chat group. Now, even if the group chat is disbanded, she is not afraid.
Stella opened her phone and sent all the messages in the group to Harley.
“Mr. Barnes, is this enough?”
Harley stared at the content, his brows furrowed, not knowing what to say for a moment.
“Mr. Barnes, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving first.”
Stella didn’t want to argue with Harley, she turned around, ready to leave.
“Wait.” Harley called out to her coldly, “How’s your plan going?”
“Almost done.”

Stella spoke truthfully, because she didn’t want to give Harley. any more excuses to blame her.
Harley didn’t just recently start favoring Sandra. Sometimes, Harley would personally strategize for the big deals that Sandra couldn’t handle.
Sandra was someone he personally nurtured, so naturally, he hoped she would become the deputy director.
On the surface, the workplace values ability, but behind the scenes, it’s a vast web of relationships.
Based on her and Sandra’s backgrounds, Harley naturally has her own considerations about who is more important.
Harley, finding no fault to pick, waved at her, “You go to work.”
Stella politely nodded: “Yes.”
After Stella left his office, Sandra at her desk glanced towards Harley’s office, not seeing Harley come out to announce that Stella had been kicked out of the competition. She clenched her teeth subtly, shooting a glance at Stella.
Stella ignored Sandra, returning to her desk to continue working on the plan.
Before long, Christina turned around, then looked at her with an unhappy face.
“What’s wrong now?” Stella asked casually, staring at her

“I’m so annoyed! Now, in the building’s group chat, everyone is sharing photos of Sandra’s suitor, praising him for being handsome and rich, a perfect prince charming. They even say that Sandra is going to be a rich lady.”
Christina frowned, her face filled with an unnatural anger.
Stella glanced at Christina’s phone, the handsome guy in the photo was none other than Nathaniel.
If Sandra hadn’t hidden in the trunk of Nathaniel’s car, she was certain that Nathaniel and Sandra would never have met.
Stella shrugged nonchalantly, not saying a word.
It’s not that she didn’t want to explain, but Sandra enjoyed causing her trouble. If she were to step forward and argue, Sandra would likely not let her off the hook.
The competition for the position of Deputy Director is imminent. Stella thinks it’s better for her to keep a low profile.
Christina pointed at her phone and said, “Look at how arrogant Sandra is! She’s so proud even though a tall, rich, and handsome man is pursuing her! She’s just showing off!”

Everyone kept insisting on meeting Nathaniel, pushing Sandra to the point where she stopped responding..
