“Stella was fired! How could this…” Sandra was about to rejoice when she suddenly paused. “Mr. Barnes, what did you say? David was fired? Not Stella?”
“Yes, David was fired for misconduct. He even sent an apology email to his boss. His situation is now well–known in the industry. He was not only dismissed by domestic companies, but also by foreign ones,” Harley explained.
“Impossible! He’s so capable! How could he possibly be fired because of Stella?” Sandra said loudly.
After hearing her words, Harley looked at Sandra displeasedly, his gaze condemning her for not knowing how to speak.
“What do you understand? It’s clear that David has offended someone. Someone wants to kick him out.”
Everyone was taken aback, even Stella was stunned in place.
Who is so capable that they can easily dismiss a vice president of a multinational company?
“I, I didn’t mean it that way.” Sandra only then realized that her words were indeed somewhat inappropriate, and then glared at Stella resentfully.
Stella was puzzled, wondering what it had to do with her.

Harley didn’t probe further, instead he looked at Stella. “Let’s forget about this. Be more careful in the future.”

After Harley left, Sandra looked at Stella with dissatisfaction.
“Stella, you’re just an ordinary employee. You really need to be more careful in the future. Otherwise, how can you be so lucky every time?”

Stella double–checked the plan before sending it.
A moment later, Sandra got up and walked into Harley’s office. About ten minutes later, she came out, looking at Stella with a complex expression.
Her gaze was filled with disbelief amidst her unwillingness, and calculation within her bitterness.
This was the first time Stella had seen Sandra like this, and she thought to herself, “What has happened?”
