“What are you looking at?” Nathaniel glanced at her as he put down his phone.
“Nothing.” Stella turned her face away, changing the subject. “Did the incident at the hotel today affect you?”
“No.”
“That’s good.” Stella was relieved.
“What about you? Is anyone giving you a hard time at the company?”
Nathaniel couldn’t help but frown, wondering, “Why do I care about her?”
“No, but…” Stella smiled. Although she knew Nathaniel might just be asking politely, she couldn’t help but share. “Mr. Beaumont, do you know that man was fired?”
“I don’t know.”
Nathaniel had no interest in knowing, because it was he who got
David fired.
Nathaniel thought the conversation was over. But Stella put down her bag and then sat next to him.

“Mr. Beaumont, I originally thought I would be scolded. After all, I hit a valuable client. I was prepared to be scolded when
I returned. But I didn’t expect him to be fired! It’s really too fantastical.”
Stella is very cautious at work. But as soon as she gets home, she can’t wait to share what happened with her parents.

Stella shifted again.
Nathaniel glanced at the spot next to him, feeling a mix of annoyance and amusement.
“Stella.”
“What’s wrong?”
“If you move again, I’ll fall off,” Nathaniel pointed to his side.
