Chapter 126
“Grace, I’m willing to take our daughter. You should be happy about this!” Antonio smirked, his grin as sharp as a knife.
My consciousness became blurry instantly.
But a friend filled me in that Caroline Beard and Antonio had married and even had a pair of twins.
Their life together was straight out of a fairy tale.
Why did Antonio want to take Mollie away again?
Mollie, unable to do anything but watch, started bawling. She hit out at Antonio. “What have you done to my mom?”
The last thing I saw before the world went dark was Antonio dragging Mollie off.
When I woke up, we were in some fancy mansion.
Antonio was surprisingly patient, cajoling Mollie who was refusing to eat, “Mollie, come on. Have a bite. You used to love the food I made, remember?”
But Mollie sent the food flying.
Antonio raised his hand like he was gonna hit her, but just yelled instead, “Mollie, your attitude’s really souring. If you don’t eat, you’ll starve!”
I struggled to get up, every muscle screaming like hell.

The place was so posh, which made me feel out of place.
When Antonio and I called it quits, he was just a fast–food manager.
How the heck did he end up in a place like this?
Antonio looked at me, a self–satisfied smirk on his face. “Hard to swallow, isn’t it? If you didn’t cheat three years ago, you’d be living a high life here.”
Antonio started telling his story from the last few years.
Once I was done with Antonio, he switched gears, became a stock manager, and in no time, he had enough dough to start up on his own.
I was too busy figuring out how to get in touch with the world outside, not really listening to Antonio’s story.
“Are you even listening? Do you regret leaving me now? Life on the farm must be tough, isn’t it?” Antonio stepped on my
shoulder.
The farm Mollie and I called home was just one of my brothers‘ many ventures.
They had their fingers in a lot of pies, including the swanky neighborhood where Antonio was now living.
Not seeing the response he was fishing for, Antonio let out a huff, “I know you’d be itching to get back to me. Roughing it on the farm, right?”
When I didn’t take the bait, Antonio looked at my daughter. “Mollie, be a good girl and I’ll get you all the pretty dresses and

dolls you can dream of.”
What Antonio didn’t know was that my brothers had set up Mollie with a play area on the farm that had everything she could wish for.
It was a funny twist of fate that my brothers were in town for a conference just when Antonio came knocking.
As soon as Mollie felt it was safe, she spoke up, “We’re not buying your act! My uncles give me whatever I want! You laid a hand on me and Mom and dragged us here against our will. My uncles won’t sit for that!”
Antonio chuckled, writing Mollie off as a kid with a wild
imagination. “Your mom is an orphan. There are no uncles in the picture.”
Then his face soured, and he shot me a look that could kill. “So, your mom’s found herself a new guy, huh?”
I wasn’t about to engage with Antonio. No matter what I said, he was dead set on the idea that I’d cheated on him.
It was the same when Caroline threw around false accusations of me cheating, and he believed it without a moment’s pause.
Ever since we divorced, I had lost all hope in Antonio.
Nathan was engaged in satellite launches. If he couldn’t reach me, he would have our location locked down soon.
I got a hunch that my eldest brother, Duncan Parrish, and my second brother, Tristan Parrish, were also on their way to save
- us.
