Killian leaned forward, a smirk playing on his lips. “You seem to be taking this very personally. Is there something more to this? Maybe a personal vendetta?” Ile said, his tone filled with venom.
Sebastian’s expression didn’t waver. “My commitment is to justice, not personal grudges. I am here because Adeline’s family was targeted, and it is my responsibility to stand by her side,” he said, his tone firm.
Killian’s gaze flickered at me; he was sharp as he continued. “You were not directly involved in the incident, were you? Why should we take your word over Laurel’s?”
“I was present during the attack. I was driving the car when it happened. I saw everything that happened.” Sebastian’s voice was steady.
A murmur rippled through the room, but Killian’s eyes remained cold. “And you expect us to believe this just because you say so” He said
Sebastian’s tone remained measured. “We have evidence for the claims.” He said, “Have a look at this.” He said and began setting up a laptop and projector. The room was silent as he played the CCTV footage, showing the moment our car was attacked and the man in the opposite Suv which attacked us. “We have provided the evidence for the account I’ve given. We have CCTV footage and bank statements. We are not here to make empty claims. Sebastian said, his voice hard–looking at Killian
“Is this true, Ms. Parker?” One of the elders, a stern–faced woman, asked.
Laurel’s face paled, but she quickly regained her composure. “Of course not, Ms. Powell. This is all fabricated. They’re trying to frame me. She said, acting all innocent.
I clenched my fists, looking at her acting.
“We also have a video confession from the man who attacked us, Sebastian said.
The atmosphere in the meeting room was heavy with tension as Sebastian prepared to play the video evidence. The elders other than Samuel shifted uncomfortably in their chairs, their eyes focused on the screen. Killian’s face was a mask of carefully controlled anger, his fingers tapping restlessly on the edge of the table. Laurel sat beside him, her posture stern and a practiced look of innocence plastered on her face,
Sebastian clicked a button, and the room was sunk into darkness as the video began to play. The large screen at the end of the room flickered to life, showing a dimly lit interrogation room. A man, looking disheveled and anxious, was seated in front of the camera. His hands were bound, and his eyes darted around nervously.
“State your name and the details of your involvement,” Sebastian’s voice instructed from off–screen.
The man took a shaky breath, his voice cracking as he began to speak
“Hello,” the man said, his voice trembling. “My name is Lucas Walker. I’m here to confess that I was hired by Laurel Parker to carry out the attack on Adeline’s family.” He confessed.
The room fell silent. Killian’s jaw clenched, and Laurel’s eyes widened with a mix of shock and anger. The elders leaned forward, their attention entirely focused on the screen.
“I was paid a million dollars to cause harm to Adeline and her family,” Lucas continued, his voice breaking. “Laurel Parker approached me a few weeks ago, offering me a large sum in exchange for arranging the attack. She provided me with the details and instructions on how to carry out the assault.”

Laurel’s eyes flared with fury as she tried to maintain her composure. She glared at Sebastian, her fingers clenching and unclenching at her sides. 1 could see her anger and her carefully covering up of masking her evilness.
Lucas’s face was etched with guilt as he continued. “I received the money from Laurel’s account. I have the transaction details with me. She was very clear about her instructions. The attack was meant to send a message, and I followed her

The video showed a close–up of Lacas holding up a piece of paper with what appeared to be transaction details. The camera zoomed in, and the numbers were clearly visible. The amount of money matched the bank records that Sebastian had previously submitted.
Killian’s face was a mask of suspicion. He glanced at Laurel, his expression darkening. Laurel’s eyes darted around the room. her composure shipping as the weight of the evidence seuled over her.
Elder Marcus spoke up, his voice stern. This video provides a damning confession. The details match the evidence presented earlier. Laurel, do you have any response to this?” He asked.
Laurel’s lips twisted into a snarl. “This is absurd. This man is clearly lying. Maybe he’s been threatened into making these claims. The transaction details could be fabricated. I have nothing to do with this.” She said, standing up.
Killian’s voice was controlled but filled with barely contained rage. This evidence is far from conclusive. It’s easy to fake a video. This is nothing more than an attempt to tarnish Laurel’s reputation.” He said this, looking at Sebastian, his anger evident in his eyes.
The room was filled with murmurs of agreement and dissent. The elders, their expressions unreadable, seemed to be taking in every detail with careful inspection.
I wasn’t surprised at Killian though, I know Killian will blindly support her no matter what. Why can’t he see the truth? He i the alpha of the pack, and yet he’s so biased towards Laurel? How can he be the Alpha of the largest and most well–known pack?
Sebastian’s voice cut through Killian’s outburst. “The video is original, Alpha Killian. We have cross–verified it with the bank records and the attacker’s own confession. The facts are crystal clear.”
Killian’s anger was evident. “This is nothing but a witch hunt. You have no concrete evidence that Laurel orchestrated this attack. This video could be tampered with, and this man could be lying” He said.
One of the elders, Elder Henry, spoke up, his voice steady. “Laurel, the confession on this video, combined with the bank records and other evidence, creates a strong case against you. If you have any evidence to counter this, now is the time to present it.”
Laurel’s eyes were filled with desperation as she shook her head. I was at home the entire day of the attack. My call records and my alibi will prove that I had no involvement. She said, her tone filled with utter desperation.
I and Sebastian looked at each other, hearing her words..
