Adeline West
Everything that had happened with me rushed through my mind, the bullying, the accusations and the banishment. It made me feel so overwhelmed with different emotions that I felt my body shiver. I took a deep breath and composed myself, trying hard not to get affected by emotions.
Elio led us through the grand entrance and showed us to our rooms. The mansion was as lavish as I remembered, though the air now felt different–less suffocating, more like a place where I could find some measure of peace.
“This will be your room,” he said, opening a door to a beautifully appointed chamber.
“And this one will be for your children.” The rooms were comfortable, with large beds and cozy furnishings. I felt a pang of guilt thinking about how I had to uproot my children from the familiar environment. I really didn’t want them to be here but my son needs me. I just don’t want them to meet Killian or Laurel. I want them to be as far as possible from them.
Elio then introduced me to Abigail, the cook. “This is Abigail,” he said, gesturing towards a kind–faced brown haired, short middle–aged woman bustling in the kitchen. “She’ll be preparing your meals,” he said.

“Oh, okay, could you direct me to his study?” I asked.
Flio nodded. “Of course. I’ll take you there now.”

Sebastian nodded, though his curiosity about my past here was evident. “Alright. I’ll be here if you need anything.” He said.,
We made our way through the mansion’s corridors until we reached a richly decorated study. Elio knocked softly before opening the door. “Samuel, Adeline is here.”
Samuel looked up from his desk, his face lighting up with a welcoming smile. “Adeline, come in. Please, have a seat.” He said.
Tentered the room, taking a seat in a comfortable armchair, Samuel settled into his own cluir behind the desk, his demeanor warm and inviting.
“Adeline,” he said, standing to greet me. “It’s wonderful to finally meet you in person. I’ve heard so much about you, dear,” he said.
I took a seat across from him, feeling a bit like a child in the presence of a kind and wise grandfather. “Thank you for seeing me, Samuel. I appreciate your support in all of this.” I said. I knew Samuel when I was a kid, I remember when my grandfather was alive. He used to take me with him to play chess with Samuel, but I was so young that I didn’t remember his name or anything. But when I saw him in the meeting hall, I remembered who he was. When My grandma said about Samuel, I didn’t know that he was the same person, it was all confusing. But now, it’s all clear now.
Samuel’s face softened with a look of regret. “I’m truly sorry for not being there four years ago. If I had known what was happening, I would have done everything in my power to prevent it. I’m sorry that you had to endure so much” He said, his tone filled regret.

The conversation flowed easily, and Samuel’s presence was calming. We talked about various topics, from me facing challenges with everything when I left this pack and started my new life at Crystal Moon pack. We talked about my company, How I raised it and what difficulties I faced while running it. He didn’t ask me anything personal or about why I left the pack? Or what happened between me and Killiant I’m assuming that he must have known from Killian. But his insights and empathy were a balm to my weary soul.
“I want you to know,” Samuel said with sincerity, “that I’m here to support you in any way I can. I understand that this situation is filled with tension and uncertainty. I want you to feel safe and assured that justice will be served.”
I smiled. feeling a glimmer of hope amidst the turmoil. “Thank you, Samuel. Your words mean a lot to me.” I said.
As the conversation continued, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. Samuel’s kindness and understanding provided a contrast to the harshness I had faced earlier
Our meeting ended on a positive note, With a final nod, I left Samuel’s study and returned to the room where Sebastian was waiting. He looked up from his discussion with Ethan and Mark his expression one of concern.

I nodded, feeling a renewed sense of determination. “Yes, there’s still much to clear up. But with Samuel’s support and the evidence we have, I believe we can hold Laurel accountable for what she did.” I said, feeling a bit uplifted with the visit to Samuel.
Sebastian placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “We will” He said.
I have called Chase and told him to bring Tristan and Bridget along with Mary,” he said, glancing at his wristwatch. “I think they are on their way here.” He added.
“Thank you so much for everything. Sebastian.” I said, holding his hand and giving it a squeeze.
“Please thank me, Adeline; we are a family. Always remember that,” he said.
As the evening settled in, the mansion took on a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere. I knew that the days ahead would be filled with challenges, but for now, I allowed myself to appreciate the small victories and the moments of calm
