The truth was like a knife, cutting deeper than I could grasp. My heart raced with anger and disbelief. The world around me felt like it was crumbling. Every breath I took seemed heavier, each one filled with the weight of Killian’s revelation. 1 couldn’t stop shaking, my mind reeling from the truth. My heart, which had once been so sure of the future, now felt like it was being torn apart from the inside.
Bridget and Tristan–my babies–were Killian’s. His children. The man I hated more than anything in the world. And now to know that the stranger from that night, the night that changed everything, had been Killian‘

My hands trembled as I clutched the papers he had shown me–the DNA test results, the proof, the undeniable truth that tied him to my children. It was supposed to be my happiest day, the day I’d finally found peace, stability, and love with Sebastian. He adored me and loved Bridget and Tristan like they were his own. And now Killian’s arrival has ripped that dream apart.
In a surge of anger, I threw the papers across the room, watching as they scattered across the floor.
“How dare you!” I screamed, my voice shaking with fury. “How dare you come here today of all days and do this? You think you can just barge in here and destroy everything, like you always do?”
Killian stood there, unmoving, his icy gaze locked on me. The arrogance in his stance was infuriating. He didn’t flinch, didn’t even blink as I screamed at him, as I threw everything I could get my hands on–the papers, the vase from the table, anything within reach.

“I’m not leaving,” he interrupted, his voice cold and firm, cutting through my words like a knife. “Not until you understand that Tristan and Bridget are mine. I’m not going anywhere, Adeline, and neither are they”
I fraze, the rage inside me bubbling over. My hands balled into fists, my nails digging into my palms as the fury rose inside me, burning through the confusion and hurt. “You had years to tell me the truth, Killian! Four years! And now you think you can just waltz in here and ruin everything?”
“I didn’t know!” Killian shouted, his voice thick with frustration. “I didn’t know it was you that night, Adeline. I didn’t know they were mine. If I had-”
“You would have what?” I snapped, my tone venomous, tears welling up in my eyes. “You would have been a father? You would have cared. Don’t lie to me, Killian! You had your chance, and you threw it away by choosing Laurel And now you want to claim them like they’re some prize you just discovered?”
“They’re my y children,” Killian growled, stepping closer, his towering frame casting a shadow over me. “You can’t just pretend they’re not.”
1 clenched my jaw in anger, glaring at him. “You have Laurel, who’s carrying your child. I suggest you go back to your little family and leave us all alone.” I said.
-Tristan and Bridget are my children, too. You can’t erase me from my life and replace me with him.” He said.
“Sebastian is the one who’s been there for them.” I shouted, my heart pounding in my chest. I stepped back, my voice trembling with rage. “He’s the one who loves them, who takes care of them. Not you. You don’t get to be their father just because you showed up with some papers. You have no right to claim them now, no right to-”
“I have every right,” he growled, stepping closer, his towering presence looming over me. Tm their father. And I’ll be damned if I let Sebastian–or any other man–step in and take my place.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. His audacity, his nerve, to think that he could just walk in after four years of silence and absence and make demands. I was the one who raised them, and it was Sebastian who has been there for me and my kids, not him.
“Sebastian is going to be their father!” I shot back, my voice trembling with emotion. “He’s been the father they deserve, not
you.”
A flash of anger darkened Killian’s gray eyes. He grabbed me by my neck and pulled me closer to him. I gasped in pain as his fingers tightened around my neck, cutting the air supply, his face just inches from mine as he glared at me.
“I am their father.” He said, his voice dangerously low. My heart pounded in my chest; fear coiled up my spine. “And I won’t let you replace me with him,” he said, his voice filled with warnings to kill I stared at him, unable to say anything as I felt my
hest burn for air. He stared at me and suddenly let go of me, and I stumbled back, gasping for air.
“I won’t let you make Sebastian their father figure. I’m not going to stand by and watch another man raise my children.” He said.
“They’re not just yours!” I screamed, breathing hard while my hands clenched into fists. They’re mine too! And you get to decide who’s in their lives. You don’t get to decide anything anymore, Killian.”

His jaw tightened. “You think you can keep them from me? That you can just marry Sebastian and pretend like I don’t exist?” His voice was low, simmering with barely restrained anger. “You’re not marrying him, Adeline. Not today. Not ever.”
I recoiled at his words, the shock ripping through me. “What are you talking about?” I asked, my voice barely a whisper.
He stepped closer, his eyes burning into mine. “You’re not marrying Sebastian. You’re not marrying anyone. Not now, not
ever.”
His words hang in the air like a dark cloud, suffocating me. I shook my head, disbelief coursing through me. “You don’t get to control me, Killian You don’t get to make decisions for me” I said.
His face hardened, his eyes narrowing “I’m not letting another man be part of my kids‘ lives, Adeline. I’m not letting you make that mistake. If you try to take them from me, if you try to come between me and my children, I’ll—”
He stopped, but the threat lingered in the air, heavy and unspoken. I could feel the weight of it pressing down on me–cold and terrifying
“You’ll what?” I asked, my voice shaking. “What are you going to do, killun“
His gaze darkened, his fists clenched at his sides.

The room seemed to spin around me as his words sank in. I felt a cold shiver run down my spine, my heart pounding in my chest. This was a side of Killian I had seen before–the ruthless, dominating alpha who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. But now, with everything on the line, he was more dangerous than ever.
“You… You don’t mean that,” I whispered, my voice barely audible.
His eyes didn’t waver, didn’t soften. “I mean every word,” he said, his voice unwavering. “The kids are mine, Adeline. Mine And I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you and everyone else understand that.”
Tears filled my eyes, the weight of his words crushing me. This was supposed to be my day–my day of happiness, of new beginnings. I was supposed to be marrying the man who loved me and my children. But Killian had destroyed it all–ripped it apart with his arrival, his possessiveness, his threats.
