Olivia fell onto the soft bed and tried to get up, but in the next second, Alexander’s massive body pinned her back down.
His towering frame loomed over her like a cage, pressing her firmly against the bed.
The scorching breath brushing against her check made Olivia’s eyes widen slightly. “Alexander, I suggest you let go of me right now.”
Alexander looked down at Olivia’s stunning face, his dry throat prompting an involuntary bob of his Adam’s apple.
Her warning barely registered in his mind. Every fiber of his being screamed to devour the woman before
him.
Narrowing his eyes, Alexander slid a burning hand around Olivia’s slender waist, his touch creeping under her shirt to caress the soft, delicate skin beneath.
In that instant, Olivia felt like she was about to explode.
“You asked for this!” she snapped.
Without hesitation, Olivia grabbed Alexander’s wrist, lifted her head, and slammed it against his forehead with a resounding thud.
Alexander winced in pain, his brows furrowing deeply.
She followed up with a punch to his stomach and, in a swift motion, flipped him onto the bed, pinning him down with his own wrist held tight.
“Stay still!” Olivia commanded before leaping off the bed.
The sting from Olivia’s attack jolted Alexander’s senses, bringing a hint of clarity to his drug–clouded
mind.
Holding his throbbing forehead, he looked at Olivia, who stood on guard.
For a brief moment, he felt dazed.
This was the same woman who had once drugged him. If it had been in the past, she would have taken advantage of his weakened state. Yet now…
Seeing that Alexander seemed to have calmed down a bit, Olivia grabbed her phone and dialed Vance.
“Hello.”
“Olivia, you finally called me! Have you come around?” Vance’s trembling voice came through immediately.
Olivia rolled her eyes. “Don’t get any ideas. Alexander’s been set up.”
“What?” Vance sounded stunned.
