Before long, Sebastian’s phone rang with an urgent tone.

“Sebastian! I couldn’t find any trace of that piece. It must be newly composed. Where did you get this sheet music? Is the composer still alive?”

Hearing his friend’s frantic tone, Sebastian’s mouth twitched slightly.
“She’s perfectly fine, so stop jinxing her!”
“Sebastian! Ask her if she has sold the rights to that piece. I’m willing to pay, whatever it takes! As long as she’s willing to sell!” The voice on the other end was eager.
Sebastian was speechless. “Aren’t you being a bit vulgar?”
For people like them, who pursue the highest realm of music, talking about money felt crude.
There was a brief silence on the other end before his friend conceded, “You’re right! My bad! Then just give me her contact information. I’ve also just finished composing a piece; maybe we could trade?”
Someone who could compose such a piece couldn’t possibly be in need o money, right?
“I’ll ask her.” Sebastian chuckled.
“Sebastian, I’m counting on you! If this works out, I’ll owe you a big favor Oh, and see if she has any other compositions, I’d love to have them all!!”
Sebastian ended the call with a smile.

When Sebastian returned to the music room, his gaze toward Olivia had softened even more.
“Young lady, I haven’t had the pleasure of learning your name.”
“My name is Olivia,” she replied.
Sebastian nodded slightly.
“Here’s the thing: I just sent your sheet music to a friend of mine who’s also quite accomplished in music. He’s very impressed with your work. He’s a composer too, and he asked if you’d be willing to trade compositions with him.”
Olivia was speechless.
Did she need more music compositions? No, she needed money!
An exchange of musical compositions for musical compositions? Absolutely superfluous!
However, after a moment’s thought, Olivia responded, “There’s no need to trade. If your friend is truly interested, I’ll gift the sheet music to him after our performance is over.”
Sebastian’s eyes lit up.
“Thank you. Since you’re preparing for a performance, and I happen to have some free time, if Isabella comes to practice, this old man can give her some pointers.”
This was exactly what Olivia had been waiting for!
