“Most military shows have participants join basic training for fun. Running ten kilometers this morning was hard enough, but now you’re sending us to fight? Are you trying to kill us?”
Tobie tried to reassure them. “Relax. The students won go all out. They’ll stop short of hurting you.” Eveni as he said this, his confidence wavered.

While the guests fretted, the cadets saw the sparring as nothing more than their usual training. Fighting was routine, but the knowledge that the celebrity guests would join made them unusually excited.
“When Whitney steps into the ring, nobody better get in my way!” shouted a tall cadet.
“I’m looking forward to feeling Joycelyn’s punches… I’ll drop like a rock!”
The upper–year students, who hadn’t participated in the morning run, were thrilled for a chance to get close to their idols. Sparring wasn’t really on their minds. Instead, they were imagining the most dramatic ways to fall after being hit.
The girls were more reserved, though many were captivated by Louis’s handsome face. Some decided to hold back if they faced him.
Felix, who had been brooding all afternoon, soon arrived at the arena, and the students immediately quieted down.
As Felix entered, his gaze briefly lingered on Olivia before turning peculiar. “Today’s session is routine sparring. Pair up however you like,” he said.
