Brody entered the hospital room to find it in complete lisarray, with Liliana on the verge of a breakdown.
“Liliana, what’s wrong?” he asked.
As soon as Liliana saw him, she latched onto him like he was her last hope. “Brody! Brody! Quick, give me your phone!”
Brody handed over his phone.
Liliana hastily logged into Twitter and was greeted by a nightmare, her account had posted pictures of her battered and disfigured face.
As the head of Starlit Entertainment and a renowned beauty entrepreneur, her Twitter had countless followers, many of whom were highly active. In just a few minutes, the post had garnered thousands of
comments.
“What the heck? What happened to the glamorous CEO?”
“Was she really attacked?”
Props to Ms. Liliana for being so bold! No need for paparazzi; she’s exposing herself.”
“Ugh… That last photo is gross. Is this some sort of special effects makeup?”
““Starlit Entertainment is doomed. Even the CEO is stooping to shock–value tactics. Please spare us these disgusting pictures!”
Liliana scrolled through the comments, each one hitting her like a hammer. She quickly deleted the tweet, but it was too late–her grotesque photos had already been saved and spread across the internet.
Meanwhile, Amelia wasn’t spared from the fallout.
Having been knocked out by Olivia and left holding the bloody weapon, Amelia had avoided legal trouble only because Starlit Entertainment staff knew about her ties to Liliana.
But just as she breathed a sigh of relief, her own Twitter exploded with accusations.
“What’s this? Amelia fighting Liliana in a parking lot?”
“Explain yourself, Amelia. Why are you holding that bloody stick?”

Amelia stared at the photos in disbelief, her phone buzzing nonstop with calls from her agent. Back hospital, Brody had finally calmed Liliana and stepped out of her room, only to find Paul waiting outside.
“What now?” Paul asked, his face tense.
Brody rubbed his temples. “Let me think.”
Having found Qlivia after all these years, Brody had initially planned to bring her to the Kenneth family home to meet Daxton, their grandfather.
But things hadn’t gone as expected.

Even though Liliana was lying in a hospital bed, beaten half to death, Paul’s heart inexplicably leaned toward Olivia. As long as Olivia was safe, he felt oddly at peace.
Brody stroked his chin thoughtfully. “Is there a way to arrange for Olivia to meet Grandpa without either of them knowing the other’s identity?”
