“Burp!” Little Wendigo rolled onto its back, and another banner popped up.
“Even if I spotted you a head start, you’d still lose. Your skills are trash–just quit and find another hobby!”
Zero shot up from his seat, gripping his computer like he was about to hurl it against the wall.
Gone. Everything was gone! My entire hard drive, years of carefully stored data–erased in minutes!
Zero had always been confident in his skills. He never imagined that looking into one file would cost him everything he had spent years building.
But the worst part…
He had watched it all happen in real–time, completely helpless to stop it.
For a hacker, there was no greater disgrace.
And now? He was getting taunted–without a single way to clap back.
“What just happened?” Walden didn’t know the first thing about hacking. All he knew was that he had been reading Olivia’s file, and then–suddenly–it was gone.
Zero looked at him, guilt written all over his face.
“Mr. Walden, I… can’t finish the job. That girl, Olivia–she’s way beyond my level. I couldn’t stop her. She caught me digging into her files and shut me down. You saw it–I can’t access the rest of her records. And worse, she wiped my entire computer clean…”
Zero felt like he was about to break down. He had never taken on a job where he walked away losing.
But when it came to hacking, skill was king. And he had just been thoroughly outclassed.
Walden frowned. “What do you mean?”
Zero pointed at the chibi Wendigo still lounging on his screen.
“This… this was her attack. Yeah, it looks stupid, but don’t let that fool you. This system is insanely strong. I can’t even touch it.”
Walden narrowed his eyes at the screen.
“Olivia made this?”
Zero let out a long sigh. “Judging by the way those banners were written? No doubt about it.”
Walden’s eyes lit up. “I’m buying your computer.”
Zero stood there, dumbfounded. “Mr. Walden, my computer is completely wiped…”

Walden added, “One condition–this never leaves this room.”
Zero straightened up. “Yes, sir!”
He never expected Walden to be this generous. He had lost everything–but now his eight–figure fortune

As he followed the butler with a grin, Walden suddenly pointed at the Little Wendigo still lounging on the
screen.
“I saw it eating earlier. How do I feed it?”
Zero froze. Wait… Mr. Walden just spent millions… for the chibi Wendigo on my screen?
Sir, with that kind of money, you could’ve just bought a real one!
Is this what rich people do for fun?
Should I start coding a virtual pet program before it’s too late?
Zero quickly answered, “Uh… just drop in some files or documents for it to destroy. That should do the trick.”
Walden nodded.
So, eating means destroying… His eyes shifted toward his own computer–and the stack of sensitive documents waiting to be erased.
Meanwhile, Olivia was going through the files her Wendigo system had sent over.
Everything Little Wendigo had “eaten” had been automatically backed up to her computer.
After ten minutes of silence, she figured the hacker’s system was completely wiped. She was about to shut down for the night.
Until–A fresh batch of new files suddenly appeared.
“G–Defense System Blueprint – Revised”
“Semi–Automatic Tank 2.0”
“Joint Military Operations…”
Olivia stared at the screen. Hold on… did that hacker break into a military database?
